The method includes establishing, by a first user equipment (UE), a first virtual cell, and sending, by the first UE, a first synchronization signal and a first broadcast message, wherein the first synchronization signal comprises an identity of the first virtual cell, and wherein the first broadcast message comprises configuration information of the first virtual cell, wherein the first synchronization signal and the first broadcast message cause a second UE to access the first virtual cell according to the identity of the first virtual cell and the configuration information of the first virtual cell, and to communicate with the first UE.

Abstract: A communication method, including receiving, by user equipment (UE), information about one or more backhaul links that is broadcast by different micro base stations, selecting, by the UE, a micro base station corresponding to backhaul link information that meets a preset condition, and accessing, by the UE, the selected micro base station when the selected micro base station is in an active state, or when the selected micro base station is in an inactive state, sending, by the UE, an activation signal to the selected micro base station, and accessing, by the UE, the selected micro base station after the micro base station is activated. Hence, a backhaul link can be used appropriately.
