    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an information sending method, including: determining, by a base station, first information indicating a first carrier frequency offset, where the first carrier frequency offset is a carrier frequency offset between an actual cell carrier center frequency and a cell carrier center frequency that is obtained by a terminal; and sending, by the base station, the first information to the terminal, where the first information is used to obtain the actual cell carrier center frequency. According to the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present invention, quality of communication between the terminal and the base station is effectively improved.

    Abstract: Example communication methods and apparatus are described. One example method includes determining a random access preamble by a terminal device. The random access preamble includes six symbol groups. The terminal device determines a frequency location of the random access preamble based on random access configuration information and a preset rule. A frequency hopping interval between a first symbol group and a second symbol group and a frequency hopping interval between a fifth symbol group and a sixth symbol group are equal and are first intervals. A frequency hopping interval between the second symbol group and a third symbol group and a frequency hopping interval between a fourth symbol group and the fifth symbol group are equal and are second intervals. A frequency hopping interval between the third symbol group and the fourth symbol group is a third interval. The random access preamble is sent based on the frequency location.

    Abstract: Example signal transmission methods and apparatus are described. One example method includes generating a first signal by a network device, where the first signal is used to indicate to a terminal device whether there is paging scheduling information on a first paging occasion. The network device determines a first resource based on at least one of a paging configuration parameter, a first parameter set, a terminal device identifier, or a terminal identification code. The network device sends the first signal to the terminal device on the first resource. The signal transmission methods, network device, and terminal device in the embodiments of this application enable the terminal device to determine, based on the first signal, whether to listen on a downlink control channel, reducing power consumption of the terminal device.

    Abstract: An information sending and receiving method and a device, the sending method including generating a first signal, and sending the first signal on a first resource. The first resource includes a first part of resource elements (REs), and the first part of the REs comprises at least one of a first RE element or a second RE element.     Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a random access method, a terminal, and a base station. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal (UE), configuration information of random access resources from a base station, where the configuration information of the random access resource includes: configuration information of a first random access resource received from the base station using a system broadcast and configuration information of a second random access resource received from the base station by using downlink control information (DCI); selecting, by the UE, a random access resource from the first random access resource and the second random access resource according to a random access rule and the configuration information of the random access resources; and initiating, by the UE, random access according to the selected random access resource.
