Abstract: An integrated circuit assembly element formed via an additive manufacturing technique, such as mixing a conductive material with a memory metal to form a portion of a substrate in desired locations, such as along the footprint of die, are discussed herein. In operation (e.g. in response to thermal cycling of the assembly) the memory metal contracts while the conductive material expands. The result is an element having reduced thermal expansion, which can be net zero coefficient of thermal expansion and/or be catered to the coefficient of thermal expansion of a desired material, such as the silicon die.

Abstract: A method of detecting electrical arc damage includes receiving input indicative of electrical power as a function of time in an electrical arc. The method includes using the input to model an amount of damage caused by the electrical arc, and comparing the amount of damage to a predetermined threshold. The method includes flagging a warning in response to the amount of damage exceeding a predetermined threshold. The method can include breaking a circuit to stop the electrical arc. Flagging the warning can include signaling to an operator to inspect a unit potentially damaged by the electrical arc. The method can include inspecting the unit potentially damaged by the electrical arc.

Abstract: In accordance with at least one aspect of this disclosure, a system includes an airflow line, a main compressor disposed in the airflow line configured to receive a ram air flow and supply a compressed air flow to the air flow line, and a motor operatively connected to drive the main compressor. An air cycle machine is disposed in the airflow line downstream of the main compressor configured to receive the compressed airflow and supply a cooled cabin airflow to an aircraft cabin. A cooling line tap disposed in the airflow line downstream of the air cycle machine configured to communicate a flow of cooling air to the motor from the airflow line to supply a portion of the cooled cabin airflow to one or more portions of the motor as motor cooling air via a first cooling airflow line.

Abstract: A cooling system of a power generation system includes a generator cooling circuit having a first cooling fluid circulating therethrough. The generator cooling circuit includes a generator heat exchanger fluidly connected to a generator of the power generation system via the generator cooling circuit to cool the generator. A power converter cooling circuit has a second cooling fluid different from the first cooling fluid circulating therethrough. The power converter cooling circuit includes a power converter heat exchanger fluidly connected to a power converter of the power generation system via the power converter cooling circuit to cool the power converter.

Abstract: A power feeder device can include a base having a mounting portion and a plurality of connector structures extending from the mounting portion and spaced apart relative to each other to form a respective gap therebetween. Each connector structure can be configured to receive a respective pair of terminals to electrically connect the respective pair of terminals within connector structures and to block a line of sight between an adjacent pair of terminals. The device can also include a cover configured to mate with the base to enclose each of the plurality of connector structures and to increase a length of a creepage path between each pair of terminals by at least partially inserting into each gap between the connector structures. The base and the cover can be configured to form a terminal opening on each lateral side when assembled to allow pass-through of a conductor and/or portion of each terminal.
