摘要: A convertible table with two folding legs and two base legs. Each folding leg is rotatably connected to one end of a connection bar, the other end of each connection bar rotatably connected to a respective base leg. A first end of a frame member, which includes a table surface and a writing board, is rotatably attached to top ends of the base legs. A second end of the frame member is rotatably attached to top ends of the folding legs. In a first position, the writing board faces downward and a conventional table is provided with the table surface. In a second position, the folding legs, guided by the connection bars, rotate relative to the frame member and are locked to sides of the frame member by respective locking mechanisms. In the second position, the writing board extends in an upright position and is accessible.

摘要: The modular exponentiation function used in public key encryption and decryption systems is implemented in a standalone engine having at its core modular multiplication circuits which operate in two phases which share overlapping hardware structures. The partitioning of large arrays in the hardware structure, for multiplication and addition, into smaller structures results in a multiplier design comprising a series of nearly identical processing elements linked together in a chained fashion. As a result of the two-phase operation and the chaining together of partitioned processing elements, the overall structure is operable in a pipelined fashion to improve throughput and speed. The chained processing elements are constructed so as to provide a partitionable chain with separate parts for processing factors of the modulus. In this mode, the system is particularly useful for exploiting characteristics of the Chinese Remainder Theorem to perform rapid exponentiation operations. A checksum mechanism is also provided to insure accurate operation without impacting speed and without significantly increasing complexity. While the present disclosure is directed to a complex system which includes a number of features, the present application is particularly directed to circuits and methods for carrying out modular exponentiation.

摘要: An embolic protection device for use in a blood vessel when an interventional procedure is being performed in a stenosed or occluded region to capture any embolic material which may be created and released into the bloodstream during the procedure. The device includes a filtering assembly having a self-expanding strut assembly and a filter element attached thereto. In one embodiment, the filtering assembly is attached to the distal end of a guide wire and is deployed within the patient's vasculature as the guide wire is manipulated into the area of treatment. A restraining sheath placed over the filtering assembly in a coaxial arrangement maintains the filtering assembly in its collapsed position until it is ready to be deployed by the physician. Thereafter, the sheath can be retracted to expose the filtering assembly which will then self-expand within the patient's vasculature. Interventional devices can be delivered over the guide wire and any embolic debris created during the interventional procedure and released into the blood stream will enter the filtering assembly and be captured therein. Other embodiments include filtering assemblies attached to an outer tubular member and inner shaft member which apply axial force to the distal ends of the assembly to either expand or contract the struts as needed.
