A permanent magnet rotating electric machine comprises a stator having stator windings wound round a stator iron core and a permanent magnet rotor having a plurality of inserted permanent magnets in which the polarity is alternately arranged in the peripheral direction in the rotor iron core. The rotor iron core of the permanent magnets is composed of magnetic pole pieces, auxiliary magnetic poles, and a stator yoke, and furthermore has concavities formed on the air gap face of the magnetic pole pieces of the rotor iron core of the permanent magnets, gently tilting from the central part of the magnetic poles to the end thereof. In a permanent magnet rotating electric machine, effects of iron loss are reduced, and an electric car using highly efficient permanent magnet rotating electric machine are realized.

The oxyfluoride compound or the fluoride compound contains carbon, and a grain boundary width of the ferromagnetic material is smaller than a grain boundary width of the ferromagnetic material in which the fluoride compound or the oxyfluoride compound is formed.

The object of the present invention is to both reduce costs and improve magnetic characteristics of rare-earth bond magnets in which magnetic material is bound with a binding agent. In order to achieve this object, magnetic characteristics of a magnet are improved by performing cold forming on rare-earth magnetic powder by itself with no resin added. Then, in order to provide strength for the magnet, a low-viscosity SiO2 precursor is infiltrated and thermoset in the magnet shaped body. As a result, it is possible to obtain a rare-earth bond magnet in which magnetic characteristics are improved and costs are reduced.

A stator coil, being a rectangular coil, is wound on a salient pole, striding across a plurality of slots, while being inserted sequentially through the inlet of a predetermined slot of the stator core. The stator coil comprises two slot inserts and to be inserted into the slot; two coil ends and located outside the end of the slot; and four twist sections arranged between the slot inserts and coil ends, processed by twisting. In the twist sections, twisting is applied to ensure that the surface of the rectangular coil in the second coil end will be opposite to the surface of the rectangular coil in the first coil end. The start of winding of the rectangular coil and the end of winding of the same coil are located on the same surface. Thereby, a rotating electrical machine with the large internal dimensions without increasing the external dimensions can be permitted.

The plural coils are inserted and as stated in above between the both ends of an anti-U-shape side is connected, and a stator coil for forming a predetermined winding turn number is obtained. When an end face of the anti-U-shape side and the thin plate shape chip are overlapped and connected, a plate thickness of a portion in which they are overlapped is reduced by half respectively, and when they are overlapped, it becomes the plate thickness which corresponds to a plate thickness of the above stated straight angle line coil. A length of a coil end portion can be shortened widely.
