    摘要: A driver circuit in a high-speed serial communications system changes an input data signal into a differential signal. A first output terminal is connected to a predetermined power supply voltage through a first pullup resistance circuit and to a grounding voltage through a first pulldown resistance circuit. A second output terminal is connected to the predetermined power supply voltage through a second pull-up resistance circuit and to the grounding voltage through a second pulldown resistance circuit. Resistances of the first and second pull-up resistance circuits and resistances of the first and second pulldown resistance circuits are changed according to the input data signal.

    摘要: A spin-valve device of a CPP structure which has a high resistance, and which generates a high output signal with low current. The CPP spin-valve device including a spin-valve element having a substrate and a layered structure formed on the substrate. The layered structure includes a first thin film layer of ferromagnetic material, a second thin film layer of ferromagnetic material, and a thin non-magnetic layer structure separating the first and second layers. One of the first and second thin film layers is defined as a free layer and the other layer is defined as a pinned layer, where the free layer has a direction of magnetization that is easier to change than a direction of magnetization of the pinned layer by application of a magnetic field. The non-magnetic layer structure includes a conducting part and insulating part, with the conduction part having an area that is smaller than an area of the free layer. The device further includes a device for producing a current flow through the spin-valve element and a field sensor configured to sense variations in resistance of the spin-valve element due to a difference in rotation of the magnetizations in the free layer and the pinned layer caused by an applied magnetic field.

    摘要: A composite magnetic head having a recording/playback head and an erasing head combined in one unit through a nonmagnetic material is constructed such that at least one of two core halves constituting the erasing head adjacent to the recording and reproducing head is made of single crystal ferrite, a plane (100) of the single crystal ferrite is substantially parallel to a principal magnetic path-forming plane, and an angle .theta. between an orientation existing in the plane (100) and an operating gap (magnetic gap)-forming plane is in the range of 10.degree.-40.degree. or 80.degree.-120.degree.. The composite magnetic head thus constructed can be made to have a reduced distance between magnetic gaps of both heads so as to be suited for being attached to the compact high-density recording and reproducing apparatus while eliminating crosstalk.

    摘要: There is provided a structure of a composite type magnetic head and its manufacturing method. The composite type magnetic head comprises: two high permeability ferrite blocks with projections having nearly edged sections formed thereon; magnetic films having a high saturation flux density deposited on the side faces of the projections, the magnetic films confronting each other via a functional gap near front ends of said projections; guard films deposited over the magnetic films comprising a non-magnetic material; and non-magnetic materials filled on the guard films up to side face of the coil. This magnetic head exhibits excellent recording and reproducing characteristics. The contour effect is negligibly small. The reaction between the magnetic film and the non-magnetic material is prevented by the guard film.
