摘要: In an information communication system for performing both point-to-point communication and point-to-multipoint communication between a host computer and terminals by using same lines while distributing loads of data communication, data communication report tables are provided on a main storage unit of the host computer for each type of communication. The data communication process is executed distributively at each CPU unit and communication interface unit of the host computer and at each control module of a communication control unit. A plurality of destination pattern tables indicating data destinations are provided for point-to-multipoint communication. For the point-to-multipoint communication, CPU unit designates a particular destination pattern table for each interface unit, and data transmission is requested to each control module in accordance with the destination pattern table.

摘要: A loop type data highway system in which a plurality of data transmission control stations (abbreviated hereinafter as stations) are connected to a single loop transmission line for data transmission and reception between any desired ones. A transmit station transmitting data makes a compare check to compare successive predetermined unit lengths of the transmitted data with the corresponding ones of the data returning after travelling round the loop, thereby detecting an error occurring during the data transmission when non-coincidence exists therebetween. A receive station receiving the data monitors the number of data words to be received, thereby detecting an error occurring during the data transmission when a data transmission end signal is detected prior to arrival of all the data words. Upon detection of the error occurring during the data transmission, the transmit station transmits the data transmission end signal to the receive station to inform the receive station of occurrence of the error.

摘要: Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a display panel, which employs a vacuum bonding method. A display material is dispensed such that the height distance from the upper surface of a lower substrate to the top of the display material is larger than the height distance from the surface of either upper or lower substrate on which the seal pattern is formed to the apex of the seal pattern. The upper substrate is placed at a position where the upper substrate and the top of the display material in the height direction are in touch with each other and the seal pattern on one substrate is not in touch with the other substrate, then, air is released. Thus, volatilization of the display material is reduced easily at small cost to prevent drying of the surface of the display material, and the display qualities can be prevented from being degraded.

摘要: The reliability of a semiconductor device having an embedded wire in the lowest layer wire is improved. In a main surface of a semiconductor substrate, MISFETs are formed and over the main surface, insulating films 10, 11 are formed. In the insulating films 10, 11 a contact hole is formed and a plug is embedded therein. Over the insulating film 11 in which the plug is embedded, insulating films 14, 15, 16 are formed and an opening is formed in the insulating films 14, 15, 16 and a wire is embedded therein. The insulating film 15 is an etching stopper film when etching the insulating film 16 in order to form the opening, containing silicon and carbon. The insulating film 11 has a high hygroscopicity and the insulating film 15 has a low moisture resistance, however, by interposing the insulating film 14 therebetween and making the insulating film 14 have a higher density of the number of Si (silicon) atoms than that of the insulating film 11, an electrically weak interface is prevented from being formed.

摘要: A liquid crystal display apparatus which have a circular polarizer and a liquid crystal display in a stack. The liquid crystal display has a chilral nematic liquid crystal layer between substrates, and on the mutually opposite sides of the substrates, electrodes and aligning layers are formed. The liquid crystal switches between a planar alignment state and a focal-conic alignment state depending on the voltage applied thereto through the electrodes. In a planar state, light reflected by the electrodes is absorbed by the circular polarizer, and a black display is made. In a focal-conic state, light reflected by the electrodes passes through the circular polarizer, and a white display is made. The liquid crystal is driven by a chain of voltage pulses including a reset step of resetting the liquid crystal to a homeotropic state, a selection step of selecting the alignment state of the liquid crystal under zero-volt application and an evolution step of causing the liquid crystal to evolve to the selected alignment state.
