摘要： A heat dissipation device includes a heat conducting base, a heat sink on the base and two heat pipes thermally contacting with the heat sink and the base. The heat sink is made of metal extrusion and includes a heat conducting cylinder at a periphery of the heat sink and a plurality of fins extending from and surrounded by the cylinder. The cylinder includes four interconnected sides. The fins of the same side are parallel to each other. The two heat pipes thermally surround the cylinder of the heat sink and wholly contact the heat sink.

摘要： A fluid guiding device (1) includes a ventilating pipe (10), a barrel (20) and a holding frame (30). The ventilating pipe includes two spring levers (154). A handling tab (156) and an engaging tab (158) extend from a free end of each spring lever, respectively outwardly and inwardly. The barrel forms two jagged members (262) thereon. Each jagged member forms a plurality of parallel teeth (264). The engaging tabs are selectively engaged with corresponding teeth respectively to position the barrel to the ventilating pipe when the barrel is moved to a desired location in the ventilating pipe. The engaging tabs escape from teeth by pulling the handling tabs outwardly to allow the barrel to be movable on the ventilating pipe. The holding frame is secured to the barrel for holding a fluid-driving device thereon.

A pump (23) is placed in the tank (20) and operated to pump liquid coolant to flow in the circulation loop. During flowing through the base (10) and the cover (40), the liquid coolant transfers heat to the heat-dissipating body (30).

Each fin includes a heat dissipating portion and a connecting portion integrated with the base plate by punching whereby concave sections are left in the connecting portion. The fins can be formed in various shapes by shearing and bending or by bending a metal sheet. A method for making a reliable heat sink includes a preparing step, a punching step and a flattening step. The preparing step comprises manufacturing a base plate and a plurality of fins each including a connecting portion and a heat dissipating portion. The punching step comprises punching the connecting portions of the fins against the base plate thereby integrating the connecting portions with the base plate, forming concave sections in the connecting portions and convex sections on an opposite lower surface of the base plate. The flattening step comprises flattening the convex sections of the base plate to maintain the planarity of the base plate.

The folded fin member is mounted to the base by inserting the bottom walls thereof into the grooves of the base to directly contact a top surface of the base. Thermal grease, wax, or tape is interposed between the bottom walls of the folded fin member and the top surface of the base for enhancing heat transfer therebetween. Each rib of the base has two corrugated inside faces and each side wall of the folded fin member has at least one inclined tab extending therefrom for engaging with the corresponding corrugated inside face of the ribs of the base thereby securing the folded fin member to the base.
