    Abstract: A communication method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: A network device determines an OFDM signal, where the OFDM signal carries a first amplitude shift keying symbol, and the first amplitude shift keying symbol is an amplitude shift keying symbol ON; and generates a first signal based on the OFDM signal and N bits, where the first signal carries N second amplitude shift keying symbols in time domain, and N is a positive integer greater than or equal to 2. The network device sends the first signal. According to the foregoing method, information transmission efficiency of an amplitude shift keying modulation scheme can be improved.

    Abstract: A communication method and device. The method includes: inventory indication information sent by a network device to a terminal device includes information for determining a target terminal device.     Abstract: This application discloses a tag positioning method. In this application, a target tag receives first signaling sent by a target reader/writer, where the first signaling includes an identity ID of a first transmitter. The target tag sends second signaling to the target reader/writer, where the second signaling includes the ID of the first transmitter. Further, the target reader/writer may determine, based on the ID that is of the first transmitter and that is included in the signaling sent by the target tag, a coverage area that is of a transmitter and in which the target tag is located, to more accurately determine a location of the tag. Therefore, efficiency of tag positioning is improved.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of wireless communications technologies. In a receiving device, a receiving module receives a synchronization signal including a first signal and a second signal. The first signal includes N1 generalized ZC sequences, and the second signal includes N2 generalized ZC sequences. The second signal is used to distinguish different cells or different cell groups. There are at least two generalized ZC sequences with different root indexes in (N1+N2) generalized ZC sequences. A processing module performs a first sliding correlation operation and a second sliding correlation operation on the synchronization signal, and performs symbol timing synchronization according to a relationship between a sliding correlation peak generated when a sliding correlation is performed on the N1 generalized ZC sequences and a sliding correlation peak generated when a sliding correlation is performed on the N2 generalized ZC sequences.
