The present invention relates to electroluminescent compounds represented by Chemical Formula (1) L1L1M(Q)m and electroluminescent devices comprising the same as host material. The electroluminescent compound according to the invention, when used as host material of an OLED, noticeably lowers the operation voltage and enhance the power efficiency.
Abstract:
The user-defined inference rule is created using a knowledge base search language that is basically provided in a knowledge base management system. Accordingly, the user-defined inference rule is a knowledge base search statement and is processed using a function of searching a knowledge base as a base function of the knowledge base management system. The user-defined inference rule is applied by including a knowledge base search process and a search result in the knowledge base, when the knowledge base is changed. The user-defined inference rule is managed by a user-defined inference rule manager. The user-defined inference rule manager monitors a change in the knowledge base to determine when the user-defined inference rule is applied, executes the user-defined inference rule to obtain the execution result, and includes the execution result in the knowledge base.
Abstract:
An embodiment of the invention provides an apparatus and method for accurate measurement of utilizations in a hardware multithreaded processor core. The apparatus and method perform the acts including: determining idle time spent cycles which are cycles that are spent in idle by a hardware thread in a processor core; determining idle consumed cycles which are cycles that are consumed in the idle time spent cycles, by the hardware thread; and determining at least one of a processor core utilization and a logical processor utilization based upon at least one of the idle time spent cycles (d1) and idle consumed cycles (d3).
Abstract:
Provided is a plasma display panel (PDP) including: a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other; barrier ribs that are arranged between the first and second substrates and that partition a plurality of discharge cells; sustain electrode pairs that are spaced apart from each other on the first substrate, each sustain electrode pair including an X electrode and a Y electrode; and a first dielectric layer that covers the sustain electrode pairs and includes grooves such that at least two grooves correspond to each of the discharge cells and exhaust passages that linearly connect the grooves of neighboring discharge cells, wherein a distance between the X electrodes and the Y electrodes is larger than a height of the barrier ribs.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for correcting a scanning error in a flatbed scanner, can minimize the scanning error due to deviations in position or scanning of a CCD (charge-coupled device) module by determining a scanning position, a scan region, and a scan rate for each flatbed scanner. The scanning error correcting apparatus includes a white shading plate having a black patch, a reading module for reading the white shading plate and the black patch, and a controller that compares information about the black patch read by the reading module with a predetermined reference value to correct the scanning error in the flatbed scanner. Thus, the apparatus and method can secure a scanning region in horizontal and vertical directions as wide as possible for each flatbed scanner and prevent occurrences of errors in a scanned image due to deviations of the CCD module. Furthermore, the apparatus and method provide an accurately scanned image having a desired scan rate by comparing right and left sizes and the entire scan size for a currently scanned region.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a mobile communication terminal which is provided with an equalizer function of audio equipment to adjust a timbre of transmitting/received speech sounds so as to satisfy a great number of users having various individualities and tastes simultaneously. The mobile communication terminal according to the present invention includes an equalizer connected to a CODEC, a speaker and a microphone for adjusting a timbre of an analog speech signal inputted thereto from the CODEC and/or a speech signal inputted thereto through the microphone, and an equalizer control circuit for controlling a timbre control operation of the equalizer according to a control signal of a CPU.
Abstract:
A thin film transistor (TFT) array substrate and a transflective LCD device include a gate line and a data line which cross each other; a pixel region which has a transmissive region and a reflective region; a TFT electrically connected to the gate line and the data line; a pixel electrode formed in the pixel region to be electrically connected to the TFT; and a reflective electrode formed in the reflective region, wherein the distance between adjacent pixel electrodes or between the adjacent reflective electrodes with the data line interposed therebetween is in the range of about 3.5 to about 6 μm.
