摘要: A monitoring system is configured to manage lumen depreciation in a lighting fixture and includes an optic housing, a light source with a light-emitting diode (LED), a processor, and a memory device. The memory device stores instructions that cause the monitoring system to measure elapsed time during which the LED light source emits the light and, based on the elapsed time, determine a current level of the emitted light. In response to the current level changing from an acceptable level to an unacceptable level, an alert is provided to show that the emitted light has reached the unacceptable level. A reset input is received to remove the alert for a predetermined period of time. Changes in status of the LED light source are indicated.

摘要: A downlight reflector assembly for a light-emitting diode (LED) light source includes a kicker reflector and an upper scoop. The kicker reflector has a reflector wall extending between a small top opening and a large bottom opening along a transverse axis. The reflector wall has an internal surface with an illuminated area and a non-illuminated area. The upper scoop is mounted in the small top opening of the kicker reflector and has a reflective multi-faceted surface with a concave curvature relative to the LED light source. The upper scoop extends from the top opening in part along the transverse axis and covering a portion of the top opening. The multi-faceted surface faces both of the illuminated area of the kicker reflector and the top opening for reflecting light rays received through the top opening towards the illuminated area.

摘要: A method and apparatus for detecting malware containing e-mails based on inconsistencies between a governmental agency “From” address and a sending IP address whereby an incoming e-mail is analyzed to determine if the incoming e-mail includes a “From” address having a domain suffix that is normally associated with a governmental agency, such as a .gov, .gov.uk, .go.jp, or any similar governmental domain suffix. The connecting IP address or IP addresses within the received headers associated with the incoming e-mail are then analyzed to determine the geographical locations through which the incoming e-mail passed. If the geographical locations associated with these sending IP addresses of the incoming e-mail are not consistent with the country indicated by the domain suffix in the governmental “From” address of the incoming e-mail then the protective action is taken.

摘要: The invention concerns a system for detecting a target nucleic acid molecule of a particular sequence in a sample, said system comprising (i) an oligonucleotide primer complementary to a said target nucleic acid molecule, which primer has no internal complementarity, is able to amplify said target sequence and carries a first label linked to said oligonucleotide at its 5′ end; and (ii) an oligonucleotide probe which carries a second label that is able to interact with said first label to produce a detectable signal, wherein the oligonucleotide probe binds an extension product of said primer such that the first and second label can interact to produce a detectable signal. Methods for using said system in particular in a nucleic acid assay, kits comprising the system and elements of it form a further aspect of the invention.

摘要: Described herein are systems and methods for managing video data. Embodiments are described by reference to a Digital Video Management (DVM) system, for example methods for controlling a DVM system. In overview, the present technology relates to the ability of an operator to modify a system alert level in the context of a DVM system, thereby to reduce the need for manual interaction in times of high alert. This may be achieved by implementing a system alert level controller via a graphical user interface. Increasing the system alert level, at least in some embodiments, correspondingly increases system resource consumption, for example by automating various actions (such as record) or increasing the amount/quality of recordings made. In effect, the system is temporarily operated on a high-cost basis thereby to assist manage risk during times of high alert by reducing reliance on the operator.
