Abstract: Embodiments of an access point (AP), station (STA) and method for multi-user (MU) location measurement are generally described herein. The AP may contend for a transmission opportunity (TXOP) to obtain access to a channel. The AP may transmit a trigger frame (TF) to initiate a multi-user (MU) location measurement during the TXOP. The AP may receive service requests for the MU location measurement from a plurality of STAs. The AP may transmit an MU acknowledgement (ACK) frame that indicates reception of the service requests. The AP may receive, from the STAs, uplink sounding frames that include per-STA timing information for the service requests and the MU ACK frame. The STA may determine location measurements for the STAs based on the per-STA timing information included in the uplink sounding frames.

Abstract: Embodiments of an access point (AP), station (STA) and method of communication are generally described herein. The AP may include a used basic service set (BSS) color in a downlink physical layer convergence procedure protocol, data unit (PPDU). The used BSS color may indicate communication between the AP and associated STAs. The AP may detect another PPDU from an STA that is un associated with the AP. If a header portion of the detected PPDU includes the used BSS color, the AP may: determine an alternate BSS color, and transmit a color switch announcement (CSA) element that indicates the alternate BSS color. The CSA element may be configurable to further indicate whether the AP and the associated STAs are to switch, from the operating channel to an alternate channel for the communication.

Abstract: An apparatus for implementing power control for a radio device that has multiple radio transceivers operating in different bands, including sub-bands of a single frequency band. The device implements a power control protocol for communications between the device and a similar peer device. The device sets-up the power control protocol by generating a request to use one of the multiple bands to signal power control operations, and to use another one of the multiple bands to transfer data between the device and the peer device. The device sends the request to the peer device and receives a response. Based on the response, the device identifies a control channel band and a data channel band from among the multiple bands.

Abstract: Simultaneous dual band operation (2.4 and 5 GHz) is common in APs on the market today, and tri-band devices are expected in the market soon. Link aggregation can also be applicable to multiple air interfaces in the same band (for instance 2 independent IEEE 802.11ac/ax air interfaces at 5 GHz on 2 different 80 MHz channels). One exemplary aspect provides technology that enables significantly higher throughput and/or higher reliability for two stations (STAs) or a STA and the access point (AP) when the devices support simultaneous multi-band operation.

Abstract: Computer readable media, methods, and apparatus for resource block identification (RBIDs) for neighbor station resource requests are disclosed. An apparatus of a station is disclosed. The apparatus may include a memory, and processing circuitry coupled to the memory. The processing circuitry may be configured to decode a neighbor report comprising one or more RBIDs from a first access point. Each RBID may indicate a frequency resource allocation to transmit one bit of information to a second access point. The processing circuitry may be further configured to respond to decoding a poll trigger from the second access point, by encoding a response to the poll trigger in accordance with the corresponding frequency resource allocation indicated by one of the one or more RBIDs. The processing circuitry may be further configured to configure the station to transmit the response to the second access point in accordance orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA).

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, computer readable media for uplink transmission power control in a wireless network. An apparatus of a wireless device comprising processing circuitry is disclosed. The processing circuitry is configured to decode a trigger frame from an access point for an uplink communication, the trigger frame comprising an uplink resource allocation for the station, the uplink resource allocation including common information and per station information, the common information including an indication of a maximum receive power at the access point, the per station information comprising an identification of the station, and an indication of a resource unit (RU). The processing circuitry may be further configured to: encode an uplink (UL) physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU)(UL-PPDU) in accordance with the indication of the RU. The processing circuitry may be further configured to: determine a transmit power for the UL-PPDU based on the maximum receive power.

Abstract: Methods, computer readable media, and apparatus for determining a receive (Rx) number of spatial streams (NSS) for different bandwidths (BWs) and modulation and control schemes (MCSs) are disclosed. An apparatus is disclosed comprising processing circuitry configured to decode a supported HE-MCS and a NSS set field, the supported HE-MSC and NSS set field received from an high-efficiency (HE) station. The processing circuitry may be further configured to determine a first maximum value of N receive (Rx) SS for a MCS and a bandwidth (BW), where the first maximum value of N Rx SS is equal to a largest number of Rx SS that supports the MCS for the BW as indicated by the supported HE-MCS and NSS set field; and, determine additional maximum values based on an operating mode (OM) notification frame, and a value of an OM control (OMC) field. Signaling for BW in 6 GHz is disclosed.

Abstract: Embodiments of a station (STA), access point (AP) and method for aggregation of data packets are generally described herein. The AP may transmit a trigger frame (TF) to an STA that indicates an access class (AC) constraint parameter and a traffic identifier (TID) aggregation limit parameter. The STA may select a group of aggregate TIDs from which medium access control (MAC) protocol data units (MPDUs) may be aggregated into an aggregated MPDU (A-MPDU). The AC constraint parameter may indicate a recommended AC from which at least a portion of the aggregate TIDs are to be selected. The TID aggregation limit parameter may indicate a number of TIDs to be selected for the group of aggregate TIDs.
