    Abstract: A touch panel, a display panel, and a display unit achieving prevention of erroneous detection caused by external noise. The touch panel includes: a plurality of detection scan electrodes extending in a first direction and a plurality of detection electrodes facing the plurality of detection scan electrodes and extending in a second direction which intersects the first direction. A ratio of fringe capacitance to total capacitance between one or more selected detection scan electrodes and a first detection electrode is different from a ratio of fringe capacitance to total capacitance between the one or more selected detection scan electrodes and a second detection electrode. The one or more selected detection scan electrodes are selected, in a desired unit, from the plurality of detection scan electrodes, to be supplied with a selection pulse, and each of the first and the second detection electrodes is selected from the plurality of detection electrodes.

    Abstract: A display device includes a plurality of signal lines that are so juxtaposed as to be extended along one direction, a plurality of common drive electrodes that are so juxtaposed as to be extended along the signal lines, and a plurality of display elements that are each connected to a respective one of the plurality of signal lines and are each connected also to the common drive electrode that makes a pair with the connected signal line. Scan driving of the plurality of display elements is performed in the direction of the signal lines.

    Abstract: A capacitive type touch sensor appropriately detecting an object, and a display and an electronic device including such a touch sensor are provided. The display including a drive electrode receiving a drive signal, a detection electrode located adjacent to the drive electrode, and a dielectric material located between the drive electrode and the detection electrode defining a capacitive area. The detection electrode generates an output signal driven by the drive signal, a detection circuit electrically connected to the detection electrode sensing the output signal. A switch element is electrically connected between the detection electrode and a voltage source providing a predefined voltage level and having a first state and a second state. A display control circuit controls a voltage applied between a display common voltage electrode and a pixel electrode to display an image based on an image signal, and the display common voltage electrode serves as the drive electrode.
