Abstract:
Two techniques are commonly used when developing database applications. First, script files containing batched database commands are frequently used to establish the schema of database tables. Second, the software design pattern “Data Access Objects” are sometimes used to contain programmatic database requests while providing an application programmer a more abstract, easier to use interface to the database. Both of these techniques require essentially the same information: an understanding of the organization of particular database tables. The present invention reduces the labor associated with maintaining synchronicity between these two components by a method that allows both the schema and the format of the Data Access Object to be determined by evaluating the properties of an object to be stored in the database.

Compounds of formula (I): wherein A− represents the benzenesulphonate (besylate) anion; R represents H or C1-6 alkyl; and n is a number from 0.8 to 2.2 are CCR3 antagonists and are therefore indictated to be useful in therapy are described.
Abstract:
Absorbent hygiene products comprising a core of an absorbent material and a top sheet through which fluid to be absorbed passes for absorption by the absorbent material are disclosed. The top sheet is porous and comprises a sheet having surfaces of a hydrophobic polymeric material modified by a graft copolymerization reaction between those surfaces and a vinyl monomer having a group capable of exhibiting hydrophilic properties. The graft polymerization reaction comprising exposure of the sheet to ultraviolet radiation while impregnated with a solution of the vinyl monomer. The grafted vinyl monomer comprises a substantially uniform coating of the sheet surface and having a mean thickness not more than about 3.0 μm. Methods for producing this absorbent hygiene product are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A circuit and method is provided for determining the delay of an integrated circuit common associated with chip-to-chip variations in the manufacturing process, changes in operating voltage, and fluctuations in temperature. A clock signal is inverted, thus generating an inverted clock signal which is then delayed multiple times, resulting in several delayed versions of the inverted clock signal, with each version being delayed a different length of time. The logical state of each delayed version of the inverted clock signal is then stored. That stored logical state provides an indication as to the magnitude of the delay of the integrated circuit which may then be used to tune critical signals of the integrated circuit to avoid timing problems resulting from variations in IC propagation delay.
Abstract:
An exhaust gas recirculation EGR valve is provided. The exhaust gas recirculation valve has a housing, a closure member, and an electrical actuator. The electrical actuator includes a first core, a magnetic member, a second core, and a bobbin assembly supporting a coil aligned along the longitudinal axis. The bobbin assembly is coupled to the closure member. The bobbin assembly, including the coil, is movable within a generally toroidal volume. A force balance closure assembly is coupled to the coil assembly. Methods of actuating an EGR valve and of assembling a bobbin assembly are also described.
Abstract:
An on-board evaporative emission leak detection system and method that detects leakage from an evaporative emission space of a fuel system of an automotive vehicle. A test includes an initialization, or stabilization, phase during which a differential between pressure in the evaporative emission space and atmospheric pressure is created, and then varied, over time, within a range of differential pressures suitable for performing a leak detection test. This varying of pressure differential alternately increases the created pressure differential above a nominal pressure differential and decreases the created pressure differential below the nominal pressure differential. The leak detection test is then performed.
Abstract:
A gas containment and supply apparatus is described consisting of a gas reservoir vessel (1) capable of pressurised gas containment fitted with a gas supply aperture (8) provided with supply means connectable to the gas supply aperture to provide for supply of the gas and control means to control the rate of supply of the gas, in which the gas reservoir is a toroidal pressure vessel comprising a metallic toroidal shell (2) having wound on its surface a tensile load bearing layer of high tensile strength non-metallic fiber (4), the fiber being aligned in a substantially meridional direction on the toroidal shell. Human portable breathing apparatus is described utilising the above.

Abstract:
A module for an on-board evaporative emission leak detection system that detects leakage from an evaporative emission space of a fuel system of an automotive vehicle. A housing provides an inlet port, an outlet port, and a flow path between the inlet port and the outlet port. An electric-motor-operated impeller pump causes flow in one direction along the flow path when in a pumping mode of operation. The pump is open to flow in both the one direction and an opposite direction when in a non-pumping mode. A solenoid-operated valve is disposed in the flow path to block flow through the flow path when in a blocking mode and to pass flow through the flow path when in a passing mode. A pressure switch is exposed to the flow path at the outlet port. A lead frame assembly provides respective electric circuit connections to the motor, solenoid, and pressure switch.
Abstract:
Data between two stations is often transmitted in the form of a parameter and the name or identifier of the parameter. The present invention divides the identifier into a prefix, an attribute, and a suffix. The actual parameters having a particular prefix or suffix are then transmitted along with the attributes. Then parameters having a different suffix but the same prefix are transmitted along with the respective attributes. This is repeated until all suffixes of the first prefix have been used. The process is then repeated for a different prefix. Indicators are used to indicate the start of a particular group having a particular suffix and a particular prefix. In this way the entire identifier for each parameter does not need to be transmitted each time a parameter is transmitted.
