Abstract:
An air-conveying device for use in an HVAC system having an interior surface and an exterior surface. An air-moving device is arranged and disposed to move air through the air-conveying device adjacent to the interior surface of the air-conveying device. The air-conveying device conveys air having passed through an HVAC heat exchanger. The air-conveying device includes one or more openings disposed and arranged to provide a pressure differential sufficient to cause passage of air through the openings from an area adjacent to the interior surface to an area adjacent to the exterior surface in order to decrease aerodynamic drag.

Cribrostatin 6, a dark blue cancer cell growth inhibiting constituent of the Republic of Maldives marine sponge Cribrochalina sp. has been isolated, and its structure (shown below) elucidated, based on a combination of RMS, high field (500 MHz, HMBC, and GOESY experiments) 15N, 1H- and 13C NMR, and X-ray crystal structure analyses. Cribrostatin 6 also was found to inhibit the growth of a number of pathogenic bacteria and fungi.

Abstract:
An electrical cable connector having a voltage detection test point generally includes an internal conductor, an inner insulating sheath surrounding the conductor, a conductive outer shield surrounding the insulating sheath, a separately molded plastic insulative shield disposed adjacent an opening formed in the conductive outer shield and held by the inner insulating sheath and a conductive voltage detection test point terminal disposed within the plastic insulative shield, wherein the test point terminal is capacitively coupled to the internal conductor for external testing of a voltage of the connector. In a preferred method for forming an electrical cable connector, such as a loadbreak power cable elbow connector, having a voltage detection test point, an insulative shield is first molded from a thermoplastic and a conductive voltage detection test point terminal is inserted within the plastic insulative shield. An outer shield is then molded from a conductive material. The conductive outer shield has an opening formed therethrough for accommodating the pre-assembled insulative plastic shield and test point terminal. After the pre-assembled insulative plastic shield and test point terminal are positioned adjacent the opening of the conductive outer shield, and after the conductive outer shield and an internal conductor are positioned within a mold cavity, an inner insulative housing is molded within the conductive outer shield and around the internal conductor. Upon molding, the pre-assembled insulative plastic shield and the test point terminal is held to the inner insulative housing. As a result, the test point terminal becomes capacitively coupled to the internal conductor for external testing of a voltage of the connector.
Abstract:
An authorizing apparatus for use with a client that connects to a first server in a network includes a second server that authorizes session requests of the client for the first server. Resource allocation data is available to the second server and indicates whether a session may be established between the client and the first server. The second server has information that associates an entity that is associated with one or more clients, and information that associates the second server to a third server that is authoritative for the second server and the associated clients. When a request to establish a session between the client and the first server is received, the second server determines, based on one of the records that is associated with the client, whether the session may be established when the client is associated with the entity. If not, the second server requests a global authorization server to determine whether a session is allowable. As a result, session management is resolved locally when possible, and over-subscription of clients to servers is prevented.
Abstract:
A unitized, stable stacking system with a tier sheet stabilizer is provided, along with a method for stacking containers. The tier sheet includes a substantially planar top surface, a bottom surface, peripheral retainers disposed about and extending away from the top and bottom surfaces, respectively, and a plurality of protuberances extending downwardly away form the bottom surface such that said protuberances engage the sidewalls of each container to secure the tier sheet to the containers positioned below the tier sheet. The protuberances are positioned so that the tier sheet can be utilized with several different container layering patterns.
Abstract:
A solar powered digital music player for a grave system is a digital music player assembly that is adapted for use with a grave marker and a corresponding casket. The casket may have at least one interior speaker. An electronic digital music player is located in a secure box near the bottom of the grave marker. An external jack on the grave marker accesses the electronic digital music player in the grave marker. Internally, the grave marker is molded with the first conductive wires which are the solar panel power cord and the headphone jack wire harness internally cast and extending to the digital music player in the secure box within the grave marker, and through the bottom of the grave marker to a coupler. The plurality of second conductive wires, bound in a harness, connect the casket to the electronic digital music player located in the grave marker.
Abstract:
An antioxidant combined with UHMWPE prior to subjecting the UHMWPE to crosslinking irradiation. In one exemplary embodiment, the antioxidant is tocopherol. After the antioxidant is combined with the UHMWPE, the resulting blend may be formed into slabs, bar stock, and/or incorporated into a substrate, such as a metal, for example. The resulting product may then be subjected to crosslinking irradiation. In one exemplary embodiment, the UHMWPE blend is preheated prior to subjecting the same to crosslinking irradiation. Once irradiated, the UHMWPE blended product may be machined, packaged, and sterilized in accordance with conventional techniques.
Abstract:
A Max Sessions Server (MSS) automatically detects hardware and communications failures. Upon detection, counters are adjusted accordingly to maintain an accurate count of users or groups of users on a system. A database of unique identifiers for each connection is maintained, where the unique identifier is a concatenation of a Network Access Server (NAS) and the connection's incoming NAS node number. If a user requests permission to log into the system, the MSS first checks the database to determine if the unique identifier is already logged in. If so, then a hardware or communications failure has occurred and the MSS must make the appropriate adjustments to the database and counter.

Abstract:
A downhole tool for generating a fluid pressure pulse, and to a method of generating a fluid pressure pulse downhole. One example being, an improved downhole tool and method for transmitting data signals from a downhole environment to surface, the downhole tool comprising a fluid actuated flow restrictor; a first fluid flow path for flow of actuating fluid to actuate the flow restrictor; a second fluid flow path for flow of actuating fluid to actuate the flow restrictor; and a control member movable between a first closed position where the first fluid flow path is closed and the second fluid flow path is open, and a discrete second closed position where the first fluid flow path is open and the second fluid flow path is closed, for controlling actuation of the flow restrictor to generate a fluid pressure pulse.
