    摘要: A method and system for synchronizing the output signal phase of a plurality of frequency divider circuits in a local-oscillator (LO) or clock signal path is disclosed. The LO path includes a plurality of frequency divider circuits and a LO buffer for receiving a LO signal coupled to the plurality of frequency divider circuits. The method and system comprise adding offset voltage and setting predetermined state to each of the frequency divider circuits; and enabling the frequency divider circuits. The method and system includes enabling the LO buffer to provide the LO signal to the frequency divider circuits after they have been enabled. When the LO signal drives each of the frequency divider circuits, each of the frequency divider circuits starts an operation. Finally the method and system comprise removing the offset voltage from each of the frequency divider circuits to allow them to effectively drive other circuits.

    摘要: A flexible reinforcement for garments includes a filament that is made of a spring material shaped to have a plurality of turns so as to form an elongated helical spring coil, caps located over the ends of the spring coil; and a cloth channel which receives the elongated coil. The channel is adapted to be sewn into a garment at a location to reinforce its shape. The spring coil may have a diameter of from about 1/32 to 3/16th inches. The caps may be made of plastics, Teflon, metal or similar material and shaped to be round and smooth so as to act to prevent the ends of the spring from penetrating the garment or poking the wearer.

The pucker free seam and method for production utilizes a bonding strip which contains at least a thermal adhesive component which is inserted between folded portions of a first garment component along a seam. A sufficient amount of heat and pressure is applied to the seam which causes the adhesive of the bonding strip to flow onto the surfaces of the folded portions of the first garment component thereby creating a compressed seam and permanently bonding the folded portions of the first garment component together along the seam to eliminate puckering associated with shrinkage of the sewing thread at the seam.

    摘要: A method and system for simulating and verifying a radiation therapy beam prior to treatment. The system also permits the accurate positioning of the beam with respect to the patient. The system utilizes a contour on a prescription image which defines the location and shape of a desired radiation treatment area to generate a transmissive projection which projects the exact field contour onto the patient during simulation. The patient can then be marked with this field contour prior to treatment in the simulation apparatus. With the patient placed in the treatment apparatus the accurate positioning of the patient can be achieved by aligning the patient's skin markings with a light projected through a multi-leaf collimator onto the skin. Furthermore, the correct functioning of the multi-leaf collimator can be verified in this manner since incorrect leaf positions will show up in the light projected onto the patient's skin. The transmissive projection means may comprise, in the preferred embodiment, a liquid crystal display projection device under control of a host computer storing a digitized image of the field contour.
