摘要: In an example embodiment, a wireless device is configured to associate with a first access point on a first frequency. The wireless device listens for a predefined frame, which may be sent by neighboring access points or other wireless devices. When the wireless device receives a signal comprising a predefined frame, the wireless device acquires a parameter, such as signal strength, for the signal. The wireless device sends the parameter for the signal to the first access point.

摘要: Provided is an all-terrain trailer for hauling large objects over uneven landscapes. The trailer is capable of carrying items within its volume in both its deployed and stowed state. Deployed, the trailer is a basket shaped body with a pair of wheels removably secured via a removable axle. The trailer is attached to the lead vehicle using a removable trailer hitch linkage that is secured to the basket body via fasteners. In a stowed state, the tires and axle are stored within a storage area in a lower portion of the basket body. In one embodiment, a false bottom is placed over the storage area, creating a flat trailer bed that objects can be laid upon. The basket body is removably secured to the hood of a lead vehicle, thereby providing a carrying basket while the vehicle is in transit.

摘要: An apparatus, a carrier medium storing instructions to implement a method, and a method for controlling the gain of a radio receiver for receiving packets of information in a wireless network. The receiver is connected to an antenna subsystem and has receive signal path including a plurality of sections including a first section coupled to the antenna subsystem and a next section. Each section has an adjustable gain and is able to provide a measure of the signal strength at its output. The method includes waiting for a start of packet indication, providing a measure of the signal strength at the output of the first section and the next section, and adjusting the gains of the first and the next sections using the provided measured signal strengths. In one embodiment, the receive signal path includes a filter, the provided measure for the first section is before the filter, and the provided measure for the second section is after the filter. The gain adjusting sets first section's gain according to the measured signal strength at the output of the first section and sets the next section's gain according to the provided measure of signal strength at the output of the next section relative to the provided measure of signal strength at the output of the first section. In one embodiment, the gain adjusting o is carried out in sequential AGC stages, one stage setting the gain of one or more sections.

摘要: In an example embodiment, a number of contending nodes and colliding nodes for a plurality of links of a network is determined. The capacity of each of the plurality of links is determined. A sum of the traffic demand of each of the plurality of links divided the throughput of each of the plurality of links is used to form a cost function for the network. One, or more, of a group consisting of a plurality of frequency assignments, a plurality of transmit powers, and a plurality of clear channel assessment (CCA) values is searched to obtain a global minimum for the cost function. The frequency assignments, transmit powers, and/or CCA values providing the global minimum for the cost function are selected.

摘要: In an example embodiment, a time of arrival circuit coupled to a wireless transceiver configured to determine a time of arrival of a wireless signal. The time of arrival circuit is operative to perform a coarse-scale frequency domain correlation of the actual samples with a predetermined ideal sample. The time of arrival circuit determines a maximum coarse correlation coefficient. The time delay circuit is operative to determine a plurality of fine correlation coefficients by interpolating around the peak coarse correlation coefficient. The time of arrival circuit determines a maximum correlation coefficient from the plurality of fine correlation coefficients and a time delay associated with the maximum correlation coefficient, the time of arrival is based on the time delay associated with the maximum correlation coefficient.
