    摘要: In a swash-plate compressor, pistons are slidably received in cylinder bores. A drive shaft is extended through a crank chamber, and is rotated through an electromagnetic clutch means associated therewith. A conversion mechanism is provided on the shaft for converting a rotational movement of the shaft into a reciprocation of each piston in the corresponding cylinder bore such that a suction stroke and a discharge stroke are alternately executed therein. A fluid is introduced from a suction chamber into the bore during the suction stroke, and during the compression stroke, the fluid is compressed in and discharged from the bore into a discharge chamber. The conversion mechanism is constituted such that a stroke length is shortened in response to an increase of a pressure in the crank chamber, and vice versa. A first passage communicates the crank with the suction chamber, and a second passage communicates the crank chamber with the discharge chamber. A control valve is provided in one of the first or second passage, and is magnetically actuated by the clutch for controlling the pressure in the crank chamber such that the piston stroke can be minimized whenever the clutch is electrically deenergized.

    摘要: A cam plate is mounted on a drive shaft in a crank chamber. A plurality of pistons are operably coupled to the cam plate. The rotation of the drive shaft is converted to a linear reciprocal movement to compress and discharge refrigerant gas containing oil mist. An extracting passage extracts the refrigerant gas from the crank chamber to remove an excessive pressure in the crank chamber. The extracting passage is open to an accommodating chamber which receives the refrigerant gas from the passage. A bearing is disposed in the accommodating chamber and receives an axial load acting on the drive shaft. A bolt absorbs an assembly tolerance of the bearing. A first protuberance is provided on the bearing protruding in a radial direction with respect to the drive shaft so as to become aligned with the passage. The first protuberance engages an inner surface of the accommodating chamber to prevent rotation of the bearing.

    摘要: An improved displacement control valve incorporated in a variable displacement compressor. The control valve is installed in an accommodating hole formed in a rear housing of the compressor. A cap is attached to a housing body of the control valve. A pressure sensing chamber is defined between the cap and the housing body. A pressure sensing member, or bellows, is located in the pressure sensing chamber. The bellows moves a valve body in accordance with pressure introduced into the pressure sensing chamber. A tubular protector, which is made of an elastic material, is attached to the cap. The control valve is installed in the rear housing by inserting the valve, cap first, into the accommodating hole. During this installation, the protector prevents the cap from directly contacting the housing or inner wall of the accommodating hole. The cap is therefore not deformed. The performance of the control valve is therefore improved.

    摘要: A power transmission mechanism having a pulley rotor and a release plate. The pulley rotor is coaxial with the release plate, and power from the pulley rotor is transmitted to the release plate to rotate the pulley rotor and the release plate in the same direction. A release projection causes the free end of the spiral spring to move and separate from the transmission surface in accordance with relative rotation between the pulley rotor and the release plate when the load applied to the release plate exceeds a predetermined value. Therefore, if the release plate applies an unusually strong load to the pulley rotor, it will be released from the pulley rotor.
