摘要： Image forming apparatus capable of forming images of two separate documents on two separate copy sheets with a single exposure. Two separate documents, for example, facing pages of a book-type document are set on a document glass and receive a single exposure operation in order to make two images, namely, a first image corresponding to one page and a second image corresponding to another page on a transfer belt. Two sheets are sequentially fed to a transfer section. The two images on the transfer belt are sequentially transferred to the two separate sheets respectively at the transfer section.

In a file processing system including a plurality of file processing devices each having a touch panel, when a first file processing device to which a first user who can process the workflow file logs in detects that a first gesture of identifying the workflow file and a second gesture of indicating a second user who will perform processing subsequently have been performed on the touch panel, the second user is identified based on the second gesture and the defining information, and a second file processing device corresponding to the second user is reported to that effect. When the second file processing device detects that a third gesture for making a request for processing of the workflow file has been performed, the second file processing device acquires the body data of the workflow file.

摘要： In a system for variable-length coding, when image data of a plurality of documents are compressed and stored in a compression memory, the image data is divided into a plurality of areas. Then, attributes are discriminated for each area, and the result of the attribute discrimination is written to an attribute memory. Attribute counters count the numbers of the discriminated attributes. A variable-length compression section compresses the code data with a compression method in response to the attribute data written to the attribute memory, and the compressed data is written to a compression memory.
