Abstract:
An apparatus for analyzing movement of equipment includes an inertial measurement unit continuously measuring six rigid body degrees of freedom of the equipment and outputting data representative thereof, wherein the inertial measurement unit includes a planar substrate defining a single common plane (either rigid or flexible). The inertial measurement unit further includes at least one angular rate gyro and at least one accelerometer sufficient to measure the six rigid body degrees of freedom and each being mounted on the single common plane. The apparatus further includes a communication device transmitting the data.
Abstract:
A method for generating a magnetic resonance image includes acquiring a first k-space data set from each of a plurality of RF coils. The first k-space data set includes calibration data and randomly undersampled data. For each RF coil, a fully randomly sampled k-space data set is generated by removing a portion of the calibration data. A compressed sensing reconstruction technique is applied to the fully randomly sampled k-space data set to generate an aliased image, which is used to generate a uniformly undersampled k-space data set. A second k-space data set is generated by inserting the portion of the calibration data and a parallel imaging reconstruction technique is applied to the second k-space data set to synthesize unacquired data. The second k-space data set and the synthesized data are combined to generate a complete k-space data set for the RF coil.

Abstract:
A door signaling system can warn a forklift driver on one side of a closed door that a pedestrian may be on the other side, thereby averting a collision between the forklift and the pedestrian. In some embodiments, the signaling system includes an elongate light prominently disposed along a perimeter of the doorway. In response to the pedestrian being at the door or in response to some other predetermined door-related event, the light warns the forklift driver of the situation or event. In some embodiments, the signaling system warns the driver by sounding a horn on the driver's vehicle or by shining a light upon tile door or against the floor.
Abstract:
An apparatus for cutting a planar medical component having a first surface and a second surface, comprising a clamp for fixing the component and applying a tensile force, a support having a surface having a hole therein, the upper surface disposed proximate the second surface of the component, and a cutting device having a cutting head disposed proximate the support and facing the first surface, wherein the support is configured to move along the plane of the component relative to the clamp and the cutting device cutting head is configured to hold position relative to the support.
Abstract:
Measuring and correcting for eddy currents in a magnetic imaging system includes running a pulse sequence using bipolar gradients to acquire a phase-difference image and a phase response of a static phantom that fills a majority of a field of view (FOV) of the magnetic imaging system, fitting the phase difference image to a two-dimensional second order polynomial, and changing the pulse sequence to provide a different delay. The method further includes iterating the running a pulse sequence and fitting the phase difference image and phase response with different delays to determine coefficients of the second order polynomial and a time constant of the phase response. The method also includes correcting a pre-emphasis system of the magnetic imaging system in accordance with the time constant of the phase response, determining an amplitude of correction to reduce the determined coefficients, and storing the determined corrections in the pre-emphasis system.

Systems and methods for monitoring a paging signal from a mobile switch to a cellular transmitter for occurrences of congestion. The system includes a switch; a cell site in communication with the switch, for broadcasting a page received from the switch to a cellular device configured to receive the page; and a monitoring module in communication with the switch for monitoring occurrences of paging congestion between the switch and the cell site.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a roof safety anchor capable of permanent and watertight attachment to a roof. Installation of the roof safety anchor does not require the removal of roof shingles. The roof safety anchor captures a D-ring and a roof fastener between a base and a lid. The roof fastener extends through the base and a gasket to secure the roof safety anchor to the roof.
Abstract:
The invention provides systems and methods for identifying fraud in an ATM transaction and in other financial processing environments. The system, tangibly embodied in the form of a computer processer includes a profile database, a filter processing portion, a scoring engine, and an authorization processing portion. The profile database contains card profiles and ATM profiles. The filter processing portion inputs transaction data generated from a requested ATM transaction. The filter processing portion includes a plurality of filters that filter high risk transactions, and outputs customer related data and ATM related data to the profile database. The scoring engine assesses risk of the high risk transaction based on attributes of the transaction, data in at least one card profile, and data in at least one ATM profile. The authorization processing portion determines whether the requested transaction should be approved or declined based on the fraud score and transaction data.
