The present disclosure provides a device for preventing frost heaving and thawing settlement. The device includes a positioning cylinder, an upper cover, an anti-thawing settlement rod configured to prevent the thawing settlement, and an anti-frost heaving rod configured to prevent the frost heaving. The upper cover is sealingly assembled on a top of the positioning cylinder. A bottom of the positioning cylinder is provided with the anti-frost heaving rod. An upper portion of the positioning cylinder is provided with the anti-thawing settlement rod. The anti-frost heaving rod is provided upwards, and a bottom of the anti-frost heaving rod is rotatably provided on a mounting base of the anti-frost heaving rod through a first connecting screw rod. The anti-thawing settlement rod is provided downwards, and a top of the anti-thawing settlement rod is rotatably provided on a mounting base of the anti-thawing settlement rod through a second connecting screw rod.

The present invention provides a concrete form comprising a housing having a foot portion and a leg portion. The leg portion of the housing has a top end and a bottom end. The leg portion of the housing consists of four equi-spaced identical semi-conical wall segments and four concave wall segments joining adjacent semi-conical wall segments to provide a generally truncated conical configuration with a rounded cross or four leaf clover horizontal cross section. The top and bottom end of the leg portion is open. The foot portion is an inverted dish shape. The dish shaped foot portion has an annular side wall and a top wall. The bottom end of the leg portion is coaxially connected to the top wall of the dish shaped foot portion. An opening is provided in the top wall of the dish shaped foot portion the same size and shape as the internal cross-section of the bottom end of the leg portion. The concrete form of the present invention because of its unique construction provides numerous advantages over conventional fiber tubes. It is easier to dig a hole into which the form can be inserted; the present invention will take about one third the volume of concrete that a similar sized fiber tube and due to its tapered construction, the concrete forms of the present invention will resist upward frost movement.

A reinforced fiberboard box for creating a void in and under concrete formations. A single piece of double faced, corrugated fiberboard is defined by a face, a bottom, a pair of end flaps, and a pair of side flaps. The end flaps are folded into at least four uniformly shaped partitions which are subsequently folded onto the face of the fiberboard and are aligned along the longitudinal axis to create a box-like structure. Pairs of side flaps are then wrapped around the sides and top of the partitions to form a completely closed, internally reinforced, box-like structure. A portion of the side flaps are tucked inwardly, intersecting the partitions so that slots in the side flaps interlock with slots in the partitions which prevents the box void from unfolding during use.

This invention relates to foundation work of structures in a very cold district, especially to a method of preventing the upward movement of foundation pillars in weak ground in which concrete piles are required as foundation pillars. Concrete piles are driven to a permanent frozen stratum passing through a weak stratum which repeats freeze and melt conditions according to the atmospheric change and the like, and then the concrete piles themselves are cooled artificially or by utilizing the ultra-low temperature of the permanent frozen stratum during the period of refreeze of the weak stratum in order to make frozen parts in the weak stratum around each concrete pile. Therefore, the upward movement of the weak stratum due to its cubic expansion during the period of freeze is done with slide around the boundary between the frozen part and the other part of the weak stratum, and thereby the concrete piles are not directly affected by pulling force due to the cubic expansion of the weak stratum and the upward movement of the concrete piles is prevented. Furthermore, the present invention relates to concrete piles suitable as foundation pillars in a very cold district characterized in respectively having a cooling unit which is set at the time of producing each concrete pile and used to make a frozen part in the weak stratum.

A thermal stabilizer assembly consisting of a vertical tubular convection cell mounted in a body which is to be thermally stabilized, the convection cell being provided with a heattransmitting fin configuration at its upper portion for heat transmission to the atmosphere. The fin configuration may consist of auxiliary metal tubes clamped to the cell by metal straps. The auxiliary tubes may be arranged in layers. The auxiliary tubes may consist of relatively small auxiliary tubes clamped in relatively large auxiliary tubes, both in heat-conducting contact with the main convection cell. The fin configuration may alternatively consist of flanged vertical bars clamped around the vertical convection cell by metal straps.
