Abstract:
A lubricating layer having wear resistance and reliability on the wear resistance, and a compressor including a lubricating layer are provided. The compressor may include a lubricating layer coated on a frictional portion between a rotational shaft and a bearing. The lubricating layer may include at least one metal phase selected from a group consisting of Titanium (Ti); and Copper (Cu), Cobalt (Co), Nickel (Ni), and Zirconium (Zr), and may be a composite structure of amorphous and nanocrystalline materials.
Abstract:
A compressor is provided. The compressor may include a fixed wrap, and an orbiting scroll having an orbiting wrap engaged with the fixed wrap to form compression chambers. The fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap may have irregular wrap curves. At least one interference avoiding portion at which a spacing between the wraps is greater than an orbiting radius or at least one gap compensating portion at which the spacing between the wraps is smaller than the orbiting radius, in a state in which a center of the fixed scroll and a center of the orbiting scroll are aligned with each other, may be provided on a sidewall surface of the fixed wrap or the orbiting wrap, whereby frictional loss or abrasion due to interference between the wraps or a refrigerant leakage due to a gap between the wraps may be prevented.
Abstract:
A compressor is provided that may include a passage separator provided between an electric motor drive and a compression device to separate a refrigerant passage from an oil passage. The passage separator may include a first partition wall and a second partition wall. The first partition wall may be disposed between an inner circumferential surface of a casing and a discharge hole of the compression device, and the second partition wall may be disposed between the discharge hole and a balance weight. Accordingly, the refrigerant passage may be separated from the oil passage between the compression device and electric motor drive, thereby efficiently recovering oil to an oil storage space.
Abstract:
A scroll compressor is provided which is configured such that an arcuate section may be formed from a suction end of a wrap to a first point to increase a suction volume, and a logarithmic spiral section in which a wrap thickness increases may be formed from a second point to a discharge end of the wrap. This may increase a volume ratio of the compressor so as to increase a capacity of the compressor and prevent damage to the wrap due to a high compression ratio operation, thereby enhancing reliability of the compressor.
Abstract:
A scroll compressor is provided. The scroll compressor may include a fixed scroll having a fixed wrap and a plurality of first key recesses, an orbiting scroll engaged with the fixed scroll to define a compression chambers and having an orbiting wrap and a plurality of second key recesses, the orbiting scroll performing an orbiting motion with respect to the fixed scroll, a drive having a rotation shaft coupled to the orbiting scroll such that one end portion thereof overlaps the orbiting wrap in a lateral direction, and an Oldham ring having a plurality of first and second keys coupled to the plurality of first key recesses and the plurality of second key recesses, respectively. The plurality of second keys may at least temporarily protrude from the plurality of second key recesses in a radial direction during the orbiting motion. Further, the plurality of second key recesses and the plurality of second keys may be disposed to obtain maximum contact areas therebetween at a moment of start of discharging.
Abstract:
A scroll compressor is provided in which a boss of an orbiting scroll is inserted into and coupled to a boss coupling recess of a crank shaft, so that friction loss of a bearing portion of the crank shaft may be reduced, compression efficiency and reliability of the compressor may be enhanced, and noise and material costs may be reduced. A bush bearing may be formed as a coating on the boss of the orbiting scroll, so that a thickness of the bearing portion of the crank shaft may be reduced. Since an outer circumferential surface of the bearing portion is in contact with an inner circumferential surface of the boss coupling recess, damage to the bearing portion may be prevented.
Abstract:
A synthetic resin bearing and a scroll compressor using the same are provided. In the synthetic resin bearing as a journal bearing fixed to an orbiting scroll or a main frame and relatively rotated with respect to a rotational shaft in a scroll compressor, the journal bearing is made of a PEEK material, and a thickness t of the journal bearing is smaller than a thickness t1 with which a temperature in a contact surface thereof with the rotational shaft during an operation of the scroll compressor corresponds to a glass transition temperature.
Abstract:
A compressor including a hinge recess formed at a rolling piston and a hinge protrusion formed at a vane to be inserted into the hinge recess. A diameter of the hinge protrusion is greater than an interval between both ends of an opening of the hinge recess. A bearing surface, which comes in contact with an inner circumferential surface of the hinge recess, of an outer circumferential surface of the hinge protrusion, has a circumferential surface below 90° at both sides, respectively, based on a central line in a lengthwise direction of the vane. This structure may facilitate cutting and grinding of the bearing surface so as to produce machining costs, and also improve a machining degree and thus stabilize behaviors of the rolling piston and the vane so as to enhance compression efficiency.
Abstract:
A bush bearing having an outer lubricating layer, a manufacturing method therefor and a scroll compressor having same applied thereto, according to the present disclosure, includes a bush bearing comprising: a base member which has a cylindrical shape having no separated surfaces along the circumferential direction; and a lubricating member which is formed from a material having a lower rigidity and more excellent lubricity than the base member, and has a cylindrical shape having no separated surfaces along the circumferential direction by being integrally provided to the outer circumferential surface of the base member, wherein the cylindricity of the outer circumferential surface of the lubricating member satisfies a value that is within 0.6% of the average thickness of the lubricating member, and the lubricating member has carbon fiber contained in a resin base, wherein the carbon fiber has cut surfaces exposed on both ends of the lubricating member.
Abstract:
A motor-operated compressor includes a compression part including a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll that form a compression chamber configured to compress fluid by an orbiting motion of the orbiting scroll relative to the fixed scroll. A motor part is disposed at one side of the compression part, and configured to generate a drive force to cause the orbiting scroll to make the orbiting motion. A rotary shaft is connected to the motor part and the orbiting scroll to transmit the drive force generated by the motor part to the orbiting scroll. A main frame is disposed between the compression part and the motor part in an axial direction of the rotary shaft, and configured to support the fixed scroll in the axial direction of the rotary shaft. A discharge chamber is formed between the fixed scroll and the main frame, and fluid discharged from the compression part passes through the discharge chamber to outside of the motor-operated compressor.
