The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for estimating, by a third device, a location of a first device by using a Bluetooth low energy (LE) technique. The present invention provides a method and an apparatus, the method comprising the steps of: receiving, from the third device, a location measurement request message for requesting a measurement of the location of the first device; transmitting, to the first device, a first request message for requesting location information relating to the location of the first device; receiving, from the first device, a first response message including the location information as a response to the request message; estimating location value information indicating the location of the first device on the basis of the location information; and transmitting, to the third device, a location measurement response message including the estimated location value information.

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus of calculating a location of an electronic device. The present invention comprises receiving a common packet from a host device, the common packet containing at least any one of frequency-related information or information on a time when a data packet is transmitted; receiving the data packet based on the information contained in the common packet, the data packet containing at least any one of location-related information or antenna-related information of the host device; obtaining angle information indicating a location relation with the host device using at least any one of the location-related information or the antenna-related information of the received data packet; and calculating the location of the electronic device based on the angle information.

The present invention provides a method for playing contents, which are stored in a storage device connected via at least one interface, the method comprising: detecting a connection of the storage device; transmitting transaction information stored in the detected storage device to a license server, wherein the transaction information includes transaction identification information which identifies a corresponding transaction and a user; receiving, from the license server, license information allowing to play the contents; and playing the contents on the basis of the license information, wherein the license information includes a license file and a license key.

In a method for performing wireless connection among devices in a wireless communication system, the method according to the present invention comprises activating a wireless connection function; transmitting a ping tone for discovering one or more second devices in the surroundings; receiving a response tone with respect to the ping tone from the one or more second devices; based on the received response tone, transmitting a connection request tone for requesting wireless connection to the second device; and receiving a connection, response tone corresponding to a response of the connection request tone from the second device.

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a message performed by a first relay device in a mesh network of Bluetooth including receiving a first message from at least one device including a first device and a second device, calculating a Hop count with the first device based on the first message, receiving a second message transmitted from a second device to the first device, and the second message includes a first relay value indicating a relay count and a destination address field including an address of a destination device, comparing the first relay value with the Hop count, and dropping or transmitting the second message to one or more neighboring devices according to the result of comparison.

Disclosed are a method and apparatus for forming, by a first device, forming a Wi-Fi connection with a second device using Bluetooth LE in a wireless communication system, including receiving an advertising message from the second device, forming a Bluetooth LE connection with the second device based on the advertising message, transmitting a first write request message to the second device requesting writing of authentication information necessary for performing Wi-Fi authentication with the third device, wherein the first write request message including the authentication information, receiving a write response message from the second device as a response to the first write request message, and sending a second write request message to request the writing of Opcode indicating a Wi-Fi connection with the third device to the second device. The second write request message includes identification information for identifying the third device, and the Wi-Fi connection is formed between the second and the third devices based on the authentication information.

The present invention is related to a method for transmitting and receiving data to and from a web server by using Bluetooth communication in a wireless communication system, comprising receiving a first write request including HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) request-related information from a first client device; transmitting to a web server HTTP request-related information generated on the basis of information included in the received first write request; receiving an HTTP response message in response to the HTTP request-related information from the web server; notifying the first client device of an HTTP status code indicating the status of data included in the received HTTP response message; and receiving a read request requesting data transmission on the basis of information included in the HTTP status code from the first client device, wherein, in case a second write request is received from a different client device while the first write request is being received, an error response is transmitted to the different client device.

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for performing communication using wi-fi between devices. The method includes: scanning channels that are available to gather information related to surroundings: transmitting a probe request frame through a social channel for searching devices that are to perform communication; receiving a probe response frame from the second device through a listen channel in response to the probe request frame in a listen state; and performing a group owner negotiation with the second device in order to determine a group owner, wherein the listen channel is included in the social channel, and wherein the probe request frame is transmitted from each social channel, and a predetermined hold time is present for receiving the probe response frame after transmitting the probe request frame in each social channel.

The present invention is related to a method and an apparatus for avoiding collision in a Bluetooth reconnection procedure. A method and an apparatus according to the present invention comprises measuring energy level of a received signal transmitted through a first channel; changing the first channel to the second channel when the energy level is larger than a predetermined threshold value; transmitting a trigger packet to a second device through the second channel; receiving a beacon packet through the second channel from the second device; and establishing a connection with the second device, wherein the first device stores information related to Bluetooth connection with the second device.
