摘要: A procedure for synchronization of re-configuration of RRC procedures between the radio base station and the UE is achieved by associating a new configuration to be used by a UE with an additional UE identity. The UE is normally identified by a first UE identity, but is informed in a re-configuration message that the UE also has the additional UE identity. The UE is identified by the additional UE identity when the new configuration is to be activated. Hence, when the radio base station detects that the UE responds to requests, which included the additional UE identity, the radio base station can conclude that the UE has activated the new configuration.

摘要: A method for determining a route between a current location of a wireless device and a destination location includes establishing the current location of the wireless device by providing a signal corresponding to said current location and obtaining the destination location of the wireless device. A route is calculated from the current location to the destination location, wherein the route comprises a number of spots. One or more places relating to respective one or more of the spots along the calculated route are determined, wherein the one or more places has been registered as being visited by the wireless device. An alternative route is calculated and a set of data is stored that comprises replacement to one or more of the spots with a respective received visited place related to it. The one or more spots between the current location and the replaced spots are removed.

摘要: The invention relates to communication between mobile nodes and/or node arrangements in wireless communication networks. In particular, the invention relates to a method in a radio access arrangement for improving the balance between the capacity allocated to initial access for network entry and the capacity allocated to pay-loads in the radio access arrangement. The radio access arrangement is configured to operatively communicate with a plurality of mobile nodes via an air interface. First, an initial access capacity is set to a value (S2), and then a current initial access load is obtained (S3). The next step is to increase (S7) the initial access capacity provided by the radio access arrangement (212, 312) if the current initial access load exceeds a predetermined upper limit (S4).

摘要: A wireless telecommunications system with mobile terminals, MSs and a Base Station, BS through which traffic to and from the MSs in a cell is routed, so that there can be Down Link, DL, traffic from the BS of a cell to the MSs in that cell, and Up Link, UL, traffic from those MSs to the BS. At least part of the UL traffic is contention based, and DL data to an MS must be acknowledged by the MS. The method comprises letting the BS detect MSs in the cell whose DL traffic rate exceeds a certain limit, and also comprises a mechanism for allocating to said detected MSs an UL bandwidth which enables them to acknowledge DL traffic within a certain time period from its reception by the MS.

摘要: A method and apparatus for a cellular system is provided. Communication is carried out between a controlling station of a cell and a number of users in said cell, and the controlling station is equipped with a plurality of antennas. The communication can alter between a first and a second mode, and the users in the cell provide the controlling station with feedback information regarding their reception quality. The controlling station alters between said first and second modes of communication as a result of the reliability of the feedback information from the users in the cell, so that if the reliability is above a first threshold, the first mode is used, and if the reliability is equal to or below said first threshold, the second mode is used.

摘要: When delivering a broadband service, such as xDSL, without inband POTS, it is necessary to separate the analogue POTS signal and the xDSL signal from each other at both the CO (Central Office) and the CP (Customer's Premises). This can be achieved by using an active POTS splitter. The present invention incorporates test functionality for the line between the CP and the CO, or ONU (Optical Network Unit), in the POTS splitter. This enables two-sided measurements on the line, both during installation and during operation. The measurements are performed at the CO and upon request, or when the test device automatically sends a test message/signal. In this way there is no need for field technicians at the CP side. The POTS splitter can have a unique identity code that is transmitted to the CO each time a test is started, or on receipt of a request from the CO.

摘要: An arrangement for synchronization of nodes in VDSL-systems, or more exactly, synchronization of optical VDSL-nodes which share a common part of a cable in the access network between subscribers and a local station. A time synchronization is provided towards an external system, for instance GPS, which gives a time reference by which the different nodes can be synchronized. The synchronization reduces the near end cross-talk between the VDSL-systems in the different nodes. Preferably, each respective node includes a receiver for a synchronization signal and an internal oscillator with high stability to deliver a stable clock signal.
