    摘要: The present invention provides a liquid composition, as an ejection liquid used for stably ejecting liquid droplets, including at least one kind of a protein and a peptide, and a compound having a betaine skeleton by application of thermal energy to the liquid; a method of making droplets form the liquid; and an ejection method and an ejection device suitable for utilizing protein liquid droplets. By adding a compound having a betaine skeleton to an aqueous solution of at least one kind of a protein and a peptide, the liquid composition is improved in stability for ejection by application of thermal energy. Further, a surfactant may be further added to the liquid composition containing the compound having a betaine skeleton, and in this case the effect of stable ejection can be obtained.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display panel 10 of the invention has: an array substrate with a display region 14 in which a pixel electrode is formed in each of the regions enclosed by a plurality of signal lines and scan lines deployed as matrices; a opposed substrate with a common electrode; and a liquid crystal layer that is sealed between the array substrate and the opposed substrate by means of sealing agent 35 that seals together the peripheries of the two substrates. Features are: the periphery of the array substrate's display region 14 is covered by a border region 34 that has a reflector 37a and a continuous transparent electrode 38a, the outer periphery of the border region 34 is sealed by the sealing agent 35, and the border region 34's transparent electrode 38a is electrically coupled to the common electrode. Thanks to such structure, the border region improves the appearance at the periphery of the display region, and the phenomenon of night vision alongside the scan line wiring does not occur.

The liquid crystal device 1 has a pixel region 100, a first peripheral region 101 surrounding this pixel region 100, and a second peripheral region 102 surrounding the first peripheral region 101. In the first peripheral region 101, a color layer 120 is disposed which is formed of the same color material as that for a reflective blue color layer 150B disposed in the pixel region 100. In the second peripheral region 102, a laminate film 140 composed of color layers 140B, 140R, and 140B is disposed, these color layers described above being formed of the same color materials as those for a non-reflective blue color layer 160B, a non-reflective red color layer 160R, and a non-reflective green color layer 160G, respectively.
