摘要: In order to correctly hold a low-amplitude input signal even when the operating speed of a display element drive apparatus is high, a differential signal including a pair of CLKP1 and CLKN1 is input to a first comparator and a second comparator in a manner that provides opposite phases between respective output voltage signals. An output of the first comparator is frequency-divided by the first frequency dividing flip-flop, while an output of the second comparator is frequency-divided by the second frequency dividing flip-flop. A first data holding flip-flop holds an input data signal in synchronization with a signal output by a first frequency dividing flip-flop, while a second data holding flip-flop holds an input data signal in synchronization with a signal output by a second frequency dividing flip-flop.

摘要: An industrial process for producing hydroxyaldehydes efficiently, by solving the problems of conventional DERA, such as low stability against aldehydes, low catalytic activity for aldol condensation, and the difficulty of controlling the number of acetaldehyde molecules to be condensed, is provided.According to the process, aldol condensation of a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic aldehyde compound having 2 to 6 carbon atoms with acetaldehyde is conducted by using D-2-deoxyribose-5-phosphate aldolase which is highly stable against aldehydes and has high catalytic activity for aldol condensation, whereby a hydroxyaldehyde compound having the number of carbon atoms increased by two or four can be produced.

摘要: In order to compensate for deterioration in gain caused by decreases in signal source impedance on a higher frequency region, a frequency characteristic compensating inductor is inserted between a light-receiving device and its bias power supply. The light-receiving device is connected to the bias power supply by way of the inductor. By causing the resonance frequency determined by the inductor and the parasitic capacitance and junction capacitance of device to coincide in the vicinity of the upper limit frequency of the band of the optical receiver, the equivalent signal source impedance of the light-receiving device can be enhanced, thus compensating for the decrease in gain of the receiver.

摘要: A lock control for each processor is based on a lock variable status set by a lock control apparatus in a secondary cache. The lock control apparatus indexes lock address registers upon receiving one of LOCK, SETLS, and UNLOCK requests. The SETLS request sets the lock variables to a "lock" status in all banks after acquiring a "lock" in one bank. The SETLS request prevents a deadlock in a banked memory system.

摘要: Optical pickup apparatus using split beams impinging on different photo-detector areas includes optical structure for projecting a light beam polarized in a predetermined direction toward a recording medium where information is recorded. Optical separating structure is provided for dividing a light beam reflected by the recording medium, with modulation of its polarization state in accordance with the recorded information, into first and second light beams which are polarized in directions perpendicular to each other. First and second light detectors respectively detect the first and second light beams. Preferably, a single lens is located between the separation structure and the first and second light detectors for converging the first and second light beams. Also preferably, the first and second light detectors are formed on the same substrate and are each divided into a plurality of light receiving areas. Further, an amplifier circuit is preferably formed on the same substrate as the first and second light detectors. Where the amplifier is a differential amplifier, it may produce an information signal by differentiating output signals of the first and second light detectors.

摘要: An optical pickup device for producing information magnetically recorded on a recording medium includes a light source for generating a light beam polarized in a predetermined direction. An object lens is provided for focusing the light beam generated from the light source onto the recording medium. A beam splitter is arranged in an optical path extending from the light source to the recording medium, the beam splitter having a reflection plane for reflecting the light beam from the light source toward the recording medium. The beam splitter simultaneously causes the reflecting light from the recording medium to pass through the reflection plane to separate the reflected light beam from the light beam irradiated toward the recording medium. The polarization state of the reflecting light beam is modulated in accordance with the recorded information. The beam splitter splits the reflected light beam passed through the reflection plane into first and second light beams both of which are polarized in directions perpendicular to each other. The beam splitter has a bi-refractive property. First and second detection circuits are also provided for detecting the first and second light beams, respectively, and for providing first and second detection outputs respectively corresponding thereto. Circuitry is also provided for differentiating the detection outputs from the first and second detection circuits to provide information signals.

摘要: A solid state image sensor including a number of pixels each of which has a source region, a drain region and a signal readout gate electrode having a portion formed between the source and drain regions, a light receiving gate electrode formed separately from the signal readout gate electrode, and a transfer gate electrode, the source and drain regions being formed in a surface of an epitaxial layer and the light receiving gate electrode, transfer gate electrode and signal readout gate electrode being formed on the epitaxial layer via a gate insulating film. After light signal charges have been stored underneath the light receiving gate electrode for a desired shutter open period in all pixels, the light signal charges are transferred into portions in the epitaxial layer underneath the signal readout gate electrodes via the transfer gate electrodes. Then, the light signal charges are successively readout by means of an XY address system to derive an output video signal.

摘要: This specification discloses a focusing screen adapted for use with the range finder of a camera, particularly a split image type focusing screen. This screen comprises a pair of portions desposed in the center of the real image plane of the camera, and each portion has a refracting means and a diffracting means. Thereby, in a defocused condition, the images viewed through the portions are split each other and blurred. Further, this screen can be used wth an objective lens having a small aperture ratio.
