    摘要: An absolute position measuring apparatus includes a first rotary encoder that detects a rotation of a spindle as a phase signal which varies in a first cycle and a second rotary encoder that detects the rotation of the spindle as another phase signal which varies in a second cycle. A rotation of a first rotor of the first rotary encoder is transmitted to a second rotor via a relay gear that is meshed with a first gear provided on an outer circumference of a first rotary cylinder and a second gear provided on an outer circumference of a second rotary cylinder. Thus, an absolute position of the spindle is calculated on the basis of two phase signals that are different in cycle. Further, it is not necessary to provide a conventionally-known spiral key groove so that the apparatus can be easily downsized. Manufacturing costs can be also reduced.

The both ends of the outer circumferential face of the rotor 41 are provided with a step portion 44 to retain a predetermined gap between the opposing faces of the rotor 41 and the stator 51, and a stopper portion 45 to be abutted to both end faces of the stator in the axial direction. A forcing means 61(plate spring) are also provided to force the stator 51 to the rotor 41 so that the inner circumferential face of the stator is abutted at the step portion 44.

The back-plunger type displacement detecting apparatus has a spindle secured to the case to extend perpendicular to the display surface of a digital display unit.     摘要: A two-step process for coating a surface of an aluminum article with zinc, wherein the surface is initially exposed to a zincate bath under relatively weak zinc-depositing conditions, and then further exposed to a zincate bath under stronger zinc-depositing conditions (lower ZnO concentration and/or higher temperature), to establish thereon an adherent coating of metallic zinc. The coated article may be heated to effect diffusion of the zinc into the aluminum for producing a zinc-enriched region adjacent the surface to protect the surface against corrosion.

    摘要: According to an embodiment, an analog-to-digital converter includes a voltage generating unit to generate comparative voltages; and comparators. Each comparator compares any one of the comparative voltages with an analog input voltage and output a digital signal. Each comparator includes a differential pair circuit to detect a potential difference between two inputs. The differential pair circuit includes first and second circuit portions. The first circuit portion includes a first transistor having a gate to which one input is supplied; and a resistor connected in series with the first transistor. The second circuit portion includes a second transistor having a gate to which the other input is supplied and forms a differential pair with the first transistor; and a variable resistor connected in series with the second transistor. The variable resistor includes variable resistive elements each having a resistance value variably set according to a control signal.
