    摘要: An improved process for reacting crude aqueous methanol feedstock with tertiary-olefinic hydrocarbons to produce C.sub.5.sup.+ methyl tertiary-alkyl ethers, which comprises: contacting the aqueous methanol feedstock with a liquid hydrocarbon extractant rich in C.sub.4.sup.+ isoalkylene under liquid extraction conditions; recovering an organic extract phase comprising the hydrocarbon extractant and a major amount of methanol introduced in the feedstock; reacting the extracted methanol and C.sub.4.sup.+ isoalkene in contact with an acid etherification catalyst under catalytic reaction conditions to produce ether product; separating ether product from unreacted methanol and olefin; recovering an aqueous methanol raffinate phase containing the major amount of water introduced with the feedstock and a minor amount of feedstock methanol; and converting methanol from the aqueous raffinate phase concurrently with unreacted methanol and olefin from etherification effluent separation to produce hydrocarbons.

    摘要: A process and apparatus for fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) of a hydrocarbon feed. The process and apparatus includes a riser which upwardly discharges into a deflector baffle located within a stripping vessel. The stripping vessel is located within a disengaging vessel. The deflector baffle is spaced from the riser and the stripping vessel. Preferably, the deflector baffle is shaped similarly to a large bubble cap. Catalyst passes downwardly from the baffle into a stripping zone within a lower portion of the stripping vessel. Hydrocarbons stripped from the catalyst pass upwardly aaway from the stripping zone, then pass to a cyclone located outside the stripping vessel and then discharge from the disengaging vessel.

    摘要: In a method and apparatus for improving the flow of catalyst particles from a riser conversion zone to a separator in a fluidized catalytic cracking (FCC) unit, the exit of the riser conversion zone is equipped with a deflector mounted so as to redirect catalyst particle and gas suspension movement toward a separator inlet, thus preventing rebound back into the riser conversion zone. The catalyst deflector can be combined with one or more of a short contact time stripper, a stripper mount in or adjacent the exhaust barrel of a separator, and/or a catalyst seal pot, all serving to reduce "residence" time of hydrocarbons with catalyst particles.

    摘要: In the conversion of light olefins to heavier hydrocarbons, an improved recovery technique is provided for selectively removing unreacted light olefins from a catalytic reactor effluent. This system is useful in converting ethene-rich feedstocks to gasoline and/or distillate products, particularly in oligomerization processes employing shape selective siliceous catalysts such as ZSM-5 type zeolites. By recycling gasoline-range hydrocarbons as a sorbent liquid, unreacted C.sub.2.sup.+ components may be absorbed from reactor effluent vapor and returned for further contact with the catalyst.

    摘要: A catalytic process for converting an olefinic feedstock comprising lower olefin to heavier hydrocarbon product comprising the steps of:contacting the feedstock and a recycled hydrocarbon with shape-selective zeolite oligomerization catalyst in catalytic reaction zone at elevated temperature and pressure to provide a heavier hydrocarbon effluent stream comprising heavy, intermediate and light hydrocarbons;flashing the effluent stream between the reaction zone and a phase separation zone by reducing pressure of the effluent stream, thereby producing a heavy liquid stream rich in heavy hydrocarbons and a flashed effluent vapor stream containing lighter hydrocarbons;separating and recovering a recycle stream rich in intermediate range hydrocarbons from the separation zone and pressurizing the recycle stream for recycle to the reactor inlet;further fractionating the heavy liquid stream and flashed effluent vapor from the phase separation zone in first distillation tower to remove light hydrocarbons therefrom; andrecovering substantially all of the heavy hydrocarbons produced in the reaction zone in a fractionated liquid product stream.
