    摘要: An ink for an ink jet includes a coloring composition comprising a dispersion medium and coloring particulates containing an oil-soluble dye represented by formula (1) and a polymer selected from the group consisting of polyurethanes, polyesters, polyamides, polyureas and polycarbonates. The formula (1) satisfies at least one of following (i) to (v): (i) A represents —NR4R5, R4 and R5 each represents independently a C1-18 alkyl group having a substituent group; (ii) At least one of R2 and R7 represents a substituted alkyl group; (iii) R8 represents an aryl group having two or more substituent groups; (iv) Two or more substituent groups represented by —NR170SO2R171 are present in the molecule; and (v) One or more carboxyl groups are present in the molecule.

Further, an ink jet recording method, in which recording is carried out using an ink-jet ink which contains a coloring composition, the coloring composition being formed by dispersing coloring particulates in a water-based medium, and the coloring particulates containing a nonionic oil-soluble polymer, a hydrophobic high boiling point organic solvent having a boiling point of 150° C. or more, and an oil-soluble dye.

    摘要: An image recording medium comprises a support, a polyolefin layer, a polyvinyl alcohol layer and a surface gelatin layer in the order. The polyolefin layer contains polyolefin in an amount of not less than 50 wt. %. The polyolefin layer has a thickness in the range of 10 to 100 .mu.m. The polyvinyl alcohol layer contains a vinyl alcohol polymer in an amount of not less than 50 wt. %. The vinyl alcohol polymer comprises vinyl alcohol units in an amount of 50 to 90 mole %. The polyvinyl alcohol layer has a thickness in the range of 2 to 20 .mu.m. The surface gelatin layer contains gelatin in an amount of not less than 50 wt. %. The surface gelatin layer has a thickness in the range of 0.2 to 2 .mu.m. The surface gelatin layer further contains solid particles. The solid particles have an average particle size in the range of 3 to 100 .mu.m. The image recording medium is advantageously used in an image recording process according to an ink jet method.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a silver halide color photographic material which comprises on a base at least one silver halide emulsion layer that is made up of at least one coupler and silver halide grains of high silver-chloride and at least one-non-photosensitive layer containing at least one oil-soluble color-mixing inhibitor and at least a homopolymer or copolymer represented by formula (I), with or without one of the substantially non-diffusible oil-soluble compounds represented by formula (II) or (III), and a method for forming an image by developing said silver halide color photographic material. The disclosure as described provides a color photographic material and a method for forming an image that is excellent in image quality and in color separation and has less mixing of colors.
