摘要： A positive-working photosensitive composition comprises: (1) an alkali-soluble resin; (2) a quinonediazide compound; (3) an organic phosphoric compound; and (4) at least one of a phenylenediamine compound and a derivative thereof, 2-amino-1-phenylethanol, N-phenyldiethanolamine, N-phenylethanolamine, N-ethyldiethanolamine, and N-ethylethanolamine. The resist composition exhibits so higher an adhesion to a substrate than ever as to provide an enhanced accuracy in processing during etching, enabling subsequent faithful transfer of a finer pattern to the substrate.

摘要： A liquid developer for electrostatic photography comprising resin grains dispersed in a non-aqueous solvent having a volume specific resistivity of at least 10.sup.9 .OMEGA.cm, wherein the resin grains are obtained by polymerizing (a) at least one monomer selected from benzyl methacrylate, benzyl acrylate, styrene and a styrene derivative, and (b) at least one monomer selected from acrylic acid esters and methacrylic acid esters having an alkyl group having not more than 3 carbon atoms which are soluble in the non-aqueous solvent but become insoluble therein by being polymerized, in the presence of a dispersion stabilizing resin which mainly comprises a graft copolymer composed of at least one macromonomer (M) containing a polymer component represented by the general formula (Ia) or (Ib) defined herein.The liquid developer is excellent in dispersion stability, and toner images having resist with high resistivity to etching solutions can be formed in electrostatic photography.

摘要： An ophthalmologic alignment device for aligning a measuring system at a predetermined position for an eye to be examined. The user moves the measuring system with a joystick for aligning purposes while observing a frontal eye image with an observation unit. A second moving unit further moves the measuring system moved by the user. An index projection/detection system projects an index onto the eye and detects the reflected index. The controller causes drivers to drive the second moving unit on the basis of the result of the detection of the index projection/detection system. A mode switch switches the movement of the measuring system from a mode in which the observation unit is moved by the first moving unit to a mode in which the observation unit is moved by the second moving unit, whereby the alignment of the eye and the measuring system is achieved easily and with high accuracy, irrespective of the degree of the user's skillfulness in handling the alignment device.

摘要： A self-dispersing graft-copolymer capable of self-dispersion in a high-electrical insulating carrier liquid to form grains therein. The graft-copolymer is combined with a pigment or dye to provide a self-dispersing solid colorant, which is suitable as a toner or toner supply for a liquid developing agent for electrostatic photography. The colorant is also applicable to a printing ink, an ink for an ink-jet system or a coating paint composition. The colorant well self-disperses in a carrier liquid to form well dispersed grains therein without the necessity of mechanical dispersing means.

The resin particles are prepared by polymerizing or copolymerizing a specific styrenic monomer in an organic solvent containing a polymer which is substantially soluble in the organic solvent.
