摘要: Prior to execution of a printing operation and in parallel with a warm-up operation of the apparatus, a print preparatory operation is conducted only on selected cartridges of cartridges mounted to a developing unit, thereby bringing the cartridge into a printable state. Therefore, even if the residual amount of toner in one of the selected cartridges runs short, the printing operation is allowed to continue by switching this cartridge to the next selected cartridge.

摘要: Prior to the execution of a printing operation, a print preparatory operation is conducted only on a developer cartridge 4Ka out of the developer cartridges mounted to the developing unit thereby bringing the cartridge into a printable state. Therefore, the print preparatory operation is completed when the print preparatory operation on one (equivalent to a “priority cartridge” of the invention) of the developer cartridges mounted to the developing unit is terminated. Hence, the apparatus may be placed in the printable state in a short time so that the print preparatory operation is prevented from compelling a user to wait needlessly long and that waiting time of a user may be shortened.

摘要: The present invention provides an image formation system that is suitable for access by the general public. The image formation system 10 of the invention includes an image formation device 20 that forms an image on a medium and a portable device 80 that receives and sends information carried on electromagnetic waves in a preset frequency band. In the image formation system 10, the image formation device receives identification information of the portable device by the electromagnetic waves in the preset frequency band sent from the portable device 80 and is activated to be ready for image formation. Simple transmission of the identification information of the portable device activates the image formation device to be ready for image formation. The arrangement of this system 10 is accordingly suitable for access by the general public.

摘要: The information management device of the invention reads diverse pieces of information, for example, a printer ID and the color of toner, from a storage element of each collected toner cartridge (step S100). When the input color of toner is other than black (K), the information management device determines that an operation mode of a color laser printer is a color mode and retrieves an information management database with the input printer ID as a retrieval key (steps S110 and S120). When a retrieved operation mode of the color laser printer is a monochromatic mode, the information management device rewrites the setting of the operation mode in the information management database to the color mode (steps S130 and S140). The information management device provides each user with various services including support mail service, based on the updated information in the information management database.

摘要: A multi-projection display includes: a plurality of projector units; a plurality of optical sensors that are provided corresponding to each of the projector units; and a main control unit that both causes adjustment images to be projected by each of the projector units and vertically synchronizes each projected adjustment image. Each projector unit acquires by a respective optical sensor brightness values of the picture elements that are adjacent between the adjustment image that is projected by the projector unit and the adjustment images that are projected by other projector units and adjusts the brightness of the projected image based on the differences in the acquired brightness values.

摘要: A multi-projection display system is provided with a plurality of sensor units corresponding to projector units. The sensor units detect brightness for each color in a projected image that is projected on a screen and supply the detection results. The projector unit generates a brightness correction table on the basis of the image signal of a specific picture element of the projected image realized by an adjacent projector unit and on the basis of the brightness of the specific picture element of the projected image of the adjacent projector unit that is detected by a sensor unit for matching the brightness of the image projected by its own projector unit with that of the adjacent projector unit, refers to the brightness correction table to correct brightness for each color of the image signals that are received as input, and projects onto a screen the light of each color in accordance with the corrected image signals.
