    Abstract: A sensor is provided including: an element outputting detection signals according to magnitude of physical quantity; a drive circuit outputting a driving signal to the element and receiving a monitor signal from the element; a detection circuit that includes amplifiers amplifying the detection signals and a first synchronous demodulation circuit performing synchronous demodulation on a signal from the amplifier, receives the detection signals, and outputs a physical quantity signal according to the physical quantity; a processing circuit processing a signal from the first synchronous demodulation circuit; a first diagnostic circuit that receives a signal into the processing circuit and a signal from the processing circuit, and outputs a first error signal when abnormalities occur in the processing circuit; and a second diagnostic circuit that outputs a diagnostic signal to the first diagnostic circuit, instead of the signal into the processing circuit or instead of the signal from the processing circuit.

    Abstract: The lid opening and closing mechanism in the present disclosure has an operating member which is displaceable relative to a housing body, and a drive mechanism. When the operating member is in a first position relative to the housing body, the drive mechanism locks the lid so that the lid does not move in a predetermined direction, and when the operating member is moved to a second position relative to the housing body, the drive mechanism releases the lock on the lid, moves the lid in the predetermined direction by at least a predetermined distance, and separates the lid from a predetermined face in a direction perpendicular to the predetermined face.

    Abstract: An acceleration sensor includes a weight portion having a recess section and a solid section, beam portions, a movable electrode provided on the opposite surface of the weight portion from an open surface of the recess section to extend over the recess section and the solid section, a first fixed electrode arranged at the opposite side of the movable electrode from the recess section, and a second fixed electrode arranged at the opposite side of the movable electrode from the solid section. The acceleration sensor detects acceleration using a change in capacitance between the movable electrode and the fixed electrodes caused by rotation of the weight portion. The beam portions are shifted toward the recess section such that an angle between a perpendicular line extending from a gravity center position of the weight portion to the rotation axis and a surface of the movable electrode becomes equal to 45 degrees.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a first unit (100) and a second unit detachable from each other. The second unit includes an input unit, a socket, and a hinge. The socket has a first wall and a second wall. In the first wall and the second wall, a length (L1) of a portion to support both ends of the longitudinal side of the first unit is greater than a length (L2) of a portion to support the region other than both ends of the longitudinal side of the first unit. The lengths (L1) and (L2) are perpendicular to the longitudinal side of the first unit. The portion to support the region other than both ends of the longitudinal side of the first unit has a linear opening-side end parallel to the longitudinal side of the first unit when the first and second walls are seen vertically.
