    Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus determines a position of the apparatus. The apparatus broadcasts information in a first subset of a set of resources. The information includes the position of the apparatus, a sequence ID, and a resource ID associated with a second subset of the set of resources. The apparatus broadcasts a sequence in at least one symbol of the second subset of the set of resources. The at least one symbol is identified by the resource ID and the sequence is identified by the sequence ID.

    Abstract: A method for position determination based on carrier-phase measurements is disclosed. The method comprises receiving one or more downlink signals transmitted from a base station (BS) during a downlink period, wherein the downlink signals are modulated using a downlink carrier wave, measuring, during the downlink period, a first carrier phase associated with the downlink carrier wave, estimating, during an uplink period subsequent to the downlink period, an integer ambiguity (IA) change, and measuring, during a later downlink period subsequent to the uplink period, a second carrier phase based on the resolved first carrier phase and the estimated IA change.

    Abstract: Various aspects related to selecting a resource selection procedure for V2V communications are described. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus for selecting a resource selection procedure for V2V transmissions, is described. The apparatus, e.g., a UE, may be configured to identify that recent sensing history information at the UE is unavailable for a sensing based resource selection procedure. The UE may be further configured to select, in response to identifying that the recent sensing history information is unavailable, a resource selection procedure based on configuration information obtained from a network entity. In various configurations, the UE may select a resource for a V2V transmission based on the resource selection procedure selected based on the configuration information.

    Abstract: The present disclosure enables the assignment of multiple semi-persistent resource assignments at the same time for use in V2V communications. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE (e.g., a vehicle). The UE may determine at least one resource pattern required for V2V communications. The UE may also send assistance information for the at least one resource pattern to a base station. Further, the UE may receive, from the base station, a response associated with the at least one resource pattern. In an aspect, the response may include an index of approved resource patterns. Further still, the UE may receive, from the base station, an activation grant for a resource assignment for the at least one resource pattern. In an aspect, activation grant may include the index of approved resource patterns being activated.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a wireless device may broadcast a discovery preamble to identify a receiving device or to identify a suitable beam for communicating with a receiving device prior to broadcasting a discovery message to the receiving device. In such systems, the wireless device may use the techniques described herein to generate the discovery preamble and to reduce interference between discovery preamble transmissions and avoid data loss. In one example, a wireless device may append a cyclic prefix (CP) to a discovery preamble with a suitable length to protect the discovery preamble from interference from another transmission. In another example, the wireless device may generate a cyclically periodic signal including multiple copies of the discovery preamble so a receiving device may be able to receive a portion of the signal and identify the discovery preamble.

    Abstract: An apparatus for wireless communication is provided. The apparatus determines, through sensors of a first vehicle, second-vehicle information associated with a second vehicle. In addition, the apparatus generates at least one safety message to include the determined second-vehicle information of the second vehicle. Further, the apparatus transmits the at least one safety message. The apparatus improves the performance/benefit of V2V communications technology by transmitting BSMs for other vehicles, including non-V2V vehicles without such V2V communications technology. Accordingly V2V vehicles will be able to better assess the traffic situation.
