摘要: Techniques for broadcasting system information in a wireless communication network are described. A cell may support one or more public land mobile networks (PLMNs). The cell may send a PLMN table in a first message on a broadcast channel and may send at least one index to the PLMN table in a second message on the broadcast channel. The PLMN table may include entries for different possible PLMNs or different possible combinations of PLMNs. A UE may receive the first message from a serving cell and may receive the second message from a candidate cell for cell reselection. The UE may obtain the PLMN table from the first message and may obtain at least one index to the PLMN table from the second message. The UE may determine whether the second cell is accessible by the UE based on the PLMN table and the at least one index.

摘要: Allocating transmit power among two or more carriers assigned to a wireless communication device is disclosed. In one aspect, a method of allocating transmit power includes determining a total amount of data transmit power available at the wireless communication device for data transmission over the carriers. An efficiency metric is determined for each carrier based on the carrier's transmission characteristics and a portion of the total data transmit power is allocated to each carrier based on each carrier's efficiency metric.

摘要: Techniques for sending data during handover with Layer 2 tunneling are described. In one design, a user equipment (UE) sends first Layer 2 packets to a source base station prior to handover to a target base station. The UE sends at least one second Layer 2 packet to the target base station, which identifies the second Layer 2 packet(s) as being intended for the source base station and thus forwards the second Layer 2 packet(s) to the source base station via a Layer 2 tunnel. The UE sends third Layer 2 packets to the target base station after the handover. The target base station processes the third Layer 2 packets to obtain IP packets and sends the IP packets to a serving gateway after a trigger condition, which may be defined to achieve in-order delivery of IP packets from the source and target base stations to the serving gateway.

摘要: A method for interference cancellation in a device that receives transmissions from multiple sources is disclosed. The method includes receiving multiple slots, each including a pilot segment and a traffic segment. A first one of the slots includes information indicating an activity level of a traffic segment of the first one of the slots. The method also includes calculating a value associated with interference among the plurality of slots, utilizing the information indicating the activity level to account for an amount of interference attributable to the first one of the slots. Furthermore, channel conditions are estimated for a second one of the slots using the value associated with the amount of interference. The method also includes processing the second one of the slots according to the estimated channel conditions.

摘要: Access terminals are adapted to communicate with registration servers to enable a registration server to perform timer-based registrations on behalf of an access terminal. The access terminal can cease performing such timer-based registrations as long as the registration server performs the registrations, and may power down until event data is available for transmission or reception. When a registration server performs timer-based registrations on behalf of an access terminal, the registration server can periodically communicate with a network entity to conduct the timer-based registrations for the access terminal. The network entity can receive a timer-based registration message from a registrations server for registering an access terminal. In response to such a message, the network entity can register the access terminal. Sensors and controllers may be used with some embodiments to collect and analyze data and for potentially taking action. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
