Abstract: A blood pressure estimating apparatus includes a sensor configured to obtain a bio-signal of an object; and a processor configured to extract a first cardiovascular feature and a second cardiovascular feature based on the bio-signal, and estimate blood pressure based on a first changing tendency of the first cardiovascular feature from a first reference level and a second changing tendency of the second cardiovascular feature from a second reference level, the first changing tendency and the second changing tendency being independent from each other.

Abstract: An apparatus for estimating cardiovascular information includes: a main body; and a strap connected to the main body and formed to be flexible to be wrapped around an object, wherein the main body may include: a pulse wave measurer configured to measure, from the subject, a first pulse wave signal by using a first light of a first wavelength, and a second pulse wave signal by using a second light of a second wavelength, the first wavelength being different from the second wavelength; a contact pressure measurer configured to measure a contact pressure between the object and the pulse wave measurer; and a processor configured to extract a cardiovascular characteristic value based on the first pulse wave signal, the second pulse wave signal, and change in the contact pressure, and estimate cardiovascular information based on the extracted cardiovascular characteristic value.

Abstract: A touch-type blood pressure measurement apparatus is provided. The touch-type blood pressure measurement apparatus include: a touch sensor configured to generate a contact area signal when a finger of a user is in contact with the touch sensor; at least one photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensor configured to generate a PPG signal of the user while the finger is in contact with the touch sensor; a force sensor configured to generate a touch force signal of the finger in contact with the touch sensor; and a controller configured to obtain a blood pressure of the user based on the contact area signal, the PPG signal, and the touch force signal.
