    Abstract: Disclosed are a communication technique for merging, with IoT technology, a 5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G system, and a system therefor. The present disclosure can be applied to an intelligent service (for example, smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, healthcare, digital education, retail, security and safety-related services, and the like) on the basis of a 5G communication technology and an IoT-related technology. Provided are a terminal operation method in a wireless communication system and a device for performing the same, the method according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: monitoring a synchronization signal transmitted by a base station, on the basis of a synchronization resource section; receiving the synchronization signal on the basis of the synchronization signal monitoring; and accessing the base station on the basis of the synchronization acquired from the synchronization signal, wherein the synchronization resource section of the synchronization signal transmission cycle comprises a plurality of synchronization signal transmission time points.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a channel accessing method and device in a wireless communication system and, particularly, to a channel accessing method and device for a call handover for a terminal in a wireless communication system using a plurality of beams. The method according to an embodiment of the present invention, as a method of controlling a macro cell base station when a terminal that is communicating with the macro cell base station performs channel access with a small cell base station in a wireless network capable of using a plurality of transmitting/receiving beams, may include the steps of: determining whether to request a channel setting for a call for the terminal to the small cell base station when a signal strength measurement report for a channel synchronized with the small cell base station is received from the terminal; providing information including at least one of recommending information on the transmitting/receiving beams of the terminal and position information on the terminal in a request message to the small cell base station when a channel setting request to the small cell base station is decided upon; stopping the transmission of data to the terminal and a set data radio bearer (DRB2) when a response message for accepting the channel setting for the terminal is received from the small cell base station; transmitting a radio resource control access reconfiguration message to the terminal to communicate with the small cell base station; and providing information on data to be transmitted and received by the terminal to the small cell base station.

A communication method of a terminal according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise the steps of: checking information on at least one service supported by a terminal; selecting a first frequency band in which a cell search is to be performed; receiving a reference signal from at least one cell at the selected first frequency; selecting, as a target cell, a first cell from which the reference signal having the largest strength has been received; and when the target cell supports the at least one service supported by the terminal, accessing the target cell.
