    Abstract: To reduce the manufacturing cost of a display device using a micro LED as a display element. To manufacture a display device using a micro LED as a display element in a high yield. Employed is a method for manufacturing a display device, including: forming a plurality of transistors in a matrix over a substrate (800), forming conductors (21, 23) electrically connected to the transistors over the substrate (800), and forming a plurality of light-emitting elements (51) in a matrix over a film (927). Each of the light-emitting elements (51) includes electrodes (85, 87) on one surface and the other surface is in contact with the film (927). The conductors (21, 23) and the electrodes (85, 87) are opposed to each other. An extrusion mechanism (929) is pushed out from the film (927) side to the substrate (800) side so that the conductors (21, 23) and the electrodes (85, 87) are in contact with each other, whereby the conductors (21, 23) and the electrodes (85, 87) are electrically connected to each other.

    Abstract: A correction method of a display apparatus is provided. A method for evaluating display quality of a display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes a display panel, a correction circuit, and a memory. First, first imaging data including all pixels in the display apparatus is acquired in a state where an image with a first grayscale is displayed on the display apparatus. Then, second imaging data including all the pixels in the display apparatus is acquired in a state where an image with a second grayscale is displayed on the display apparatus. Next, correction data is generated based on the first imaging data and the second imaging data. After that, the correction data is output to the memory of the display apparatus. The correction circuit has a function of correcting image data based on the correction data stored in the memory to generate corrected image data and outputting the corrected image data to the display panel.

    Abstract: A thin optical device having high light utilization efficiency and a small electronic device including the optical device are provided. The thin optical device includes a reflective polarizing plate, a lens, and an optical rotator. The optical device can be a thin optical device that is small in overall length by rotation of the polarization plane of linearly polarized light with the optical rotator and utilization of properties of transmitting and reflecting light of the reflective polarizing plate. Furthermore, the optical device does not use a half mirror; thus, the optical device has a property of high light utilization efficiency, and the power consumption of the electronic device can be reduced and the reliability of the electronic device can be improved.

    Abstract: An electronic device that can provide a high sense of immersion is provided. An electronic device with low power consumption is provided. The electronic device includes a first display device, a second display device, a first half mirror, an eyepiece lens, and a first lens. The first display device displays a first image, and the second display device displays a second image. The first display device is provided at a position so that the first image is reflected by the first half mirror and enters the eyepiece lens. The second display device is provided at a position so that the second image passes through the first half mirror and enters the eyepiece lens. The first lens is provided between the second display device and the first half mirror. The pixel density of the first display device and that of the second display device are equal to each other. The first image is presented with a first viewing angle through the eyepiece lens, and the second image is presented with a second viewing angle greater than the first viewing angle through the eyepiece lens.

A personal image display device providing the sense of immersion is achieved. A display device of the present invention is a display device placed at least on the front side of a user's visual field. The display device uses a flexible film, has a curved surface, and has a display surface on the user's side of the display device. Display is performed inside a space on the user's side of the display device, and the rear surface of the display device is placed on the side opposite to the user's side of the display device. The user's side of the display device may be provided with a large display region, or a see-through display region of the display device may display only some marks.

    Abstract: An optical device with less influence of stray light is provided. The optical device is thin and includes a half mirror, a first lens, a retardation plate, a reflective polarizing plate, and a second lens. In the optical device, a geometric phase lens which has negative and positive refractive power is used as the first lens, whereby images can be focused after magnified optically. Thus, the optical device can have a wide viewing angle. In the case where stray light occurs due to birefringence of an optical material, negative refractive power of the first lens can prevent the stray light from being focused on the eye direction. Accordingly, image degradation recognized due to stray light can be prevented.

    Abstract: Power consumption is reduced. A semiconductor device includes a sensor circuit including a sensor element, a power management unit, and an arithmetic processing circuit. The power management unit has a function of controlling power supply to the arithmetic processing circuit. The arithmetic processing circuit includes a first circuit including a first storage circuit and a second circuit including a second storage circuit. The first circuit has a function of retaining first data in the first storage circuit during a period where electric power is supplied to the arithmetic processing circuit. The second circuit has a function of reading out the first data retained in the first storage circuit and writing the first data to the second storage circuit during a period where electric power is supplied to the arithmetic processing circuit, and a function of retaining the first data in the second storage circuit during a period where power supply to the arithmetic processing circuit is stopped. The sensor circuit has a function of judging a sensed signal of the sensor element and supplying second data to the power management unit in accordance with the judgment result. The power management unit has a function of restarting or stopping power supply to the arithmetic processing circuit in accordance with the second data.
