Abstract: A method for driving an information processing device which is adaptable to a wider variety of input methods is provided. The coordinates of an operating body at a starting point in the XYZ space and the coordinates of the operating body at an ending point in the XYZ space after a certain period of time are obtained, and the Z coordinate at the ending point and the movement distance on the X-Y plane in the certain period of time are calculated. Then, a signal is output only in the case where both the distance from an operating surface to the operating body in the vertical direction and the movement distance in the horizontal direction exceed the respective threshold values. In this manner, input operation can be performed by a three-dimensional motion, which includes movement of the operating body in the vertical direction as well as in the horizontal direction.

Abstract: To increase the detection sensitivity of a touch panel, increase the visibility of a touch panel, provide a bendable touch panel, provide a thin touch panel, or provide a lightweight touch panel. The touch sensor has a first substrate, a first conductive layer, a second conductive layer, and an insulating layer. The first conductive layer includes a region between the first substrate and the second conductive layer. The insulating layer includes a region between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer. The first conductive layer, the second conductive layer, and the insulating layer form a capacitor. The second conductive layer has an opening. The opening in the second conductive layer and the first conductive layer overlap with each other in a region.

Abstract: A novel bendable and highly portable information processor is provided. In addition, a novel information processor capable of displaying information or the like on a seamless large screen is provided. A novel information processor in which one display region can be divided into two regions at a bend position is provided. A novel information processor in which different images or images for different purposes can be displayed in the respective regions is provided. The present inventors have conceived a program including a step of dividing the display region and displaying image data in the respective regions when a display unit of the information processor is bent.

Abstract: Color purity of a light emitting element is improved without an adverse effect such as reduction in voltage and luminance efficiency. The light emitting element has a light emitting laminated body including a light emitting layer between a pair of electrodes. A buffer layer is provided to be in contact with at least one of the electrodes. One of the electrodes is an electrode having high reflectance and the other is a translucent electrode. By employing a translucent electrode, light can be transmitted and reflected. An optical distance between the electrodes is adjusted in accordance with a thickness of the buffer layer, and accordingly, light can be resonated between the electrodes. The buffer layer is made of a composite material including an organic compound and a metal compound; therefore, voltage and luminance efficiency of the light emitting element is not affected even if a distance between the electrodes becomes long.
