摘要： The present disclosure provides carriers for use with toner compositions. In embodiments, a carrier may include a core, having a dry powder polymer coating. The polymer coating possesses a carbon to oxygen from about 3:1 to about 8:1. In embodiments, the coating may also include a colorant, such as carbon black. Processes for coating such carriers with the dry powder polymer coatings are also provided.

摘要： Processes for producing emulsion aggregation toners are provided. In embodiments, methods of the present disclosure may be utilized to produce toners suitable for low melt applications, including use in flexible packaging applications, where low pile height is desired for low cost and flexibility. In embodiments, the EA toners may include small particles having a shell with a high amount of resin, which optimizes the charging characteristics of the toner.

摘要： A toner having an amorphous resin, a crystalline resin, and a colorant, wherein the crystalline resin has a melting temperature of at least 70° C. and a recrystallization point of at least 47° C. exhibits improved document offset properties and improved heat cohesion. Annealing the toner further improves the heat cohesion and morphology of the toner.

摘要： A process for manufacturing a conductive micro-powder includes the steps of: (i) forming an aqueous dispersion of conductive material and the first surfactant, (ii) mixing a latex emulsion of a polymer and a second surfactant into the aqueous dispersion to form a suspension and (iii) recovering the conductive micro-powder from the suspension. The first and second surfactants are of the same class and polarity. The conductive micro-powder finds particular utility as a coating for carrier core particles, and as a conductive coating component of carrier particle coatings.

摘要： A toner particle having a core and a shell, and a method for making the toner particle. The core includes a crystalline resin and the shell includes an amorphous resin. The shell is substantially to completely free of the crystalline resin. The toner particle permits inclusion of greater amounts of crystalline resin materials in the core, thereby lowering the minimum fusing temperature of the toner formed from the particles.
