Abstract:
An optical head to access data on an optical recording medium, which has two data storage densities, includes two sets of optical path systems to provide two optical paths that are crossed. Each optical path system includes a laser light generation unit, a light guiding unit, a converging objective lens and a photo detector. The light guiding unit is located on the optical path of the laser light generation unit, to direct the laser light to pass through the converging objective lens and focus on the data side of the optical recording medium to carry optical data signals from the data side. The laser light returns to the light guiding unit and travels along the optical path and is received by the photo detector.
Abstract:
A boot up method makes an electronic system boot up by a processor according to a boot code in a NAND flash memory and includes the following steps. First, the flash memory storing a boot code or boot codes is provided. Next, a first boot code is copied to an XIP memory in response to a hardware reset signal. Then, the processor executes the first boot code in the XIP memory and thus makes the system boot up. Next, whether the system boots up successfully is judged after a time delay. When the system fails to boot up, the system is reset and a second boot code is copied to the XIP memory. Thereafter, the processor executes the second boot code in the XIP memory and thus boots up the system. If the system still fails to boot up, the above-mentioned steps are repeated until the system boots up successfully.
Abstract:
An objective lens actuating apparatus is provided for an optical read/write head. The apparatus includes a base; a lens holder floating over the base; an objective lens, fixed on the lens holder; two multi-polar magnets mounted on the base; and two coil plates located between the two magnets and fixed on the lens holder. Each coil plate has a tracking coil, a focusing coil, and a tilting coil, which overlaps different magnetic poles of each magnet. The coils generate Lorentz Forces after currents being input into the coils, so as to drive the lens holder moving or tilting.

The present invention discloses a novel electrode-catalyst for direct methanol fuel cell prepared by introducing a carbon precursor into pores of a wormhole-like molecular sieve template, carbonizing the carbon precursor, removing the molecular sieve template to obtain a wormhole-like mesoporous carbon having a high specific surface of 800-1000 m2/g and a pore size of 4-5 nm, and depositing catalyst metal such as Pt—Ru on the mesoporous carbon.

A method for cutting a printed circuit board includes providing a printed circuit board including a cutting region having a plurality of metal conducting wires, disposing a patterned first protection layer on the printed circuit board surface and exposing the metal conducting wires in the cutting region, forming a conducting layer on a surface of the metal conducting wires, disposing a second protection layer on the cutting region, performing a cutting process in the cutting region, and removing the second protection layer.
Abstract:
A burn-in method for synchronous memory that utilizes synchronous signals for the burn-in operation. Using synchronous clock pulse signals for burning in the synchronous memory is able to exercise the burst output mode and the pipeline function, and hence the optimum burn-in results can be obtained. Furthermore, synchronous burn-in not only can increase the processing speed up to twice the conventional asynchronous burn-in method, but can simulate of the actual working environment of the synchronous memory as well. Moreover, an asynchronous burn-in method can be selected whenever required without any penalty.
Abstract:
An exemplary current regulating circuit of LED string includes a capacitor, an inductor, a diode, a switch and a detection circuit. First and second terminals of the capacitor respectively are connected to a low voltage and a preset voltage. A first terminal of the inductor is connected to the low voltage. Positive and negative terminals of the diode are respectively connected to a second terminal of the inductor and a high voltage. First and second terminals of the switch are respectively connected to the second terminal of the inductor and the preset voltage. The detection circuit detects the low voltage to thereby switch ON-OFF states of the switch in demand. Moreover, a LED illumination device using the current regulating circuit also is provided.

Abstract:
A method and device for adjusting communications power are used for detecting a communications condition between a connection port and a connection target, and a communications-supporting power of the connection port that includes at least one of a transmitting power and a receiving power is adjusted according to a detected communications condition. Therefore, accuracy of data transmission and reception is ensured, and power used for data transmission and reception is reduced.
