    Abstract: A stator includes a stator core has slots that are each provided between stator teeth disposed on the stator core. The insulation paper is disposed in the slot between the coil and the stator core defining the slot has a recess at a position adjacent to connection parts between side walls and a bottom wall of the insulation paper. The recess extends so as to be apart from the connection parts in one of a radial direction and the circumferential direction. The insulation members include a projection that is configured to be disposed inside the recess.

    Abstract: A motor control apparatus controls a motor system including a motor and an inverter that outputs electric power to the motor. The motor control apparatus includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to set a q-axis current value in response to a torque command value, and execute system loss reduction control for controlling a d-axis current value such that system loss, which is the sum of a copper loss, an iron loss and an inverter loss, is smaller than system loss at a time when motor loss, which is the sum of the copper loss and the iron loss, is a minimum. The copper loss, the iron loss and the inverter loss change as a current phase of a current vector changes in a q-d plane.

    Abstract: A method for insulating connection ends of a stator winding includes a resin placing step of placing a resin member formed of a thermosetting resin which is to be melted by heating on connection ends in a coil end portion of a stator winding of a rotary electric machine, a melting step of melting the resin member by heating to cover the connection ends with a melted resin, and a curing step of curing the melted resin after the melting step. Recesses and projections for positioning that correspond to the arrangement locations of the connection ends can be provided on a surface of the resin member.
