摘要: A spark plug with a rivet-like tip center discharge electrode is obtained by melting powdery metal essentially consisting of noble metal Au, Ag and/or alloys thereof with Pd or the like charged in a small end bore formed at a discharge end bottom of a ceramic insulator then allowing to cool. Sealing and/or resistor incorporation together with setting (sealing) of a terminal rod may be done one-stepwise with the center electrode formation or two-stepwise after the center electrode formation. A resultant space in the center bore may be utilized for various purposes.

摘要: A method and apparatus for controlling the sliver thickness variation in a carding machine. The thickness variation of the sliver delivered from the carding machine is measured and an electrical signal corresponding to the thickness variation of the carded sliver is issued. A difference signal is created by comparing the above-mentioned electric signal, and a control pulse signal in accordance with the difference signal is intermittently created at predetermined time intervals, each of said time intervals being shorter than a time required for a length of the carded sliver which length corresponds to a long term variation of the carded slivers thickness. The supply amount of fiber tufts to the carding machine is intermittently adjusted for reducing the above-mentioned control signal toward zero by said control pulse signal at each of said time intervals.

摘要: A needle selection control apparatus for circular pattern knitting machines which controls the timing of selection of a series of needles mounted on a needle cylinder. Needle synchronizing signals produced by sensor means which senses each cylinder needle rotating with said needle cylinder are electrically processed so that input pulse signals are formed whose phases have angles of lead controlled by the apparatus in accordance with the number of revolutions of the needle cylinder, and the input pulse signals are also electrically processed so as to remove unnecessary contents of the signals due to the eccentricity of the needle cylinder therefrom. The input pulse signals thus obtained are supplied to needle selector means for actuating the same at very high rotating speeds of the cylinder without error.

摘要: An intraocular lens insertion tool is presented. An introductory part in an insertion cylinder is provided, at a widthwise central portion of a bottom surface, with a central protrusion which extends in an axial direction of a tool body and protrudes toward an upper surface to get in contact with a center portion of a rear surface of an optical zone of an intraocular lens. The upper surface is provided, at its both widthwise ends, with a pair of lateral protrusions, which extend in the axial direction of the tool body and protrude toward the bottom surface to get in contact with both ends of a front surface of the optical zone of the intraocular lens. A lens pressing face of a plunging member is formed with a dimension spanning from the bottom surface to the upper surface at a tip end section of the insertion cylinder.

摘要: A method of producing a medical instrument whereby a highly hydrophilic and lubricant coating layer having a high durability can be formed by a simple technique and thus highly hydrophilic and lubricant properties can be imparted to a surface of a medical instrument. An intraocular lens insertion instrument having been subjected to a surface treatment as described above is also provided. The method includes preparing a coating solution by mixing at least a water-insoluble polymer having carboxyl group and a polyfunctional reactive compound with an organic solvent; applying this solution on the surface of the medical instrument; conducting crosslinking; and performing a chemical reaction process. The coating layer is made hydrophilic. The intraocular lens insertion instrument is made hydrophilic by forming the coating layer as described above on an inner surface of an insertion tube portion, crosslinking and then performing the chemical reaction process.
