Abstract:
A slip control apparatus includes a driving torque calculating means calculating driving torque, a driving torque applying means applying the calculated driving torque to driving wheels, and a slip restraining means restraining slippage at each driving wheel when the slippage occurs at each driving wheel, wherein when the slippage occurs at each driving wheel, the driving torque calculating means calculates demanded torque and adds consumed driving torque, which corresponds to the driving torque consumed for restraining the slippage at each driving wheel by the slip restraining means, to the calculated demanded torque to calculate the driving torque.
Abstract:
A running control apparatus for a vehicle includes a required driving output deciding unit that decides a required driving force of a driving system of the vehicle on the basis of an integrated value of a difference between a target vehicle speed and an actual vehicle speed, a driving control unit that controls the actuation of the driving system on the basis of the required driving force, and a determination unit that determines whether or not the required driving force is unrealizable in the control of the driving system due to the intervention of additional control. The required driving output deciding unit imposes a limit on an increase or a decrease in the required driving force when the determination unit determines that the required driving force is unrealizable in the control of the driving system.
Abstract:
A road slope determining apparatus for a vehicle includes a slope measuring device that measures a slope of a road on which the vehicle is traveling; a distance measuring device that measures a distance traveled by the vehicle; and a determining apparatus that determines, based on the measured slope and the measured distance traveled, whether the vehicle is traveling on a gradient in which the slope is continuous or on a rough road in which the slope is discontinuous. This road slope determining apparatus is able to appropriately determine whether the road has a slope when the vehicle is traveling at slow speeds such as when running off-road, for example.
Abstract:
A vehicle controller includes an obstacle-determining portion and a driving torque reducing portion. The obstacle-determining portion determines whether the vehicle is climbing up an obstacle, more specifically, whether the vehicle starts climbing up the obstacle. Them, the driving torque reducing portion performs a driving torque reduction control when it is determined that the vehicle is climbing up onto the obstacle.
Abstract:
An executed time of a backward slipping moderation control is counted by a timer, and after a predetermined period of time is elapsed, the control is terminated. Upon the termination of the control, a control of operation of a brake actuator is executed so that a wheel cylinder pressure is decreased with a gentle slope in comparison with a normal operation of the brake actuator for terminating the control. Where the backward slipping moderation control is executed by controlling a brake fluid pressure of the brake actuator, an acceleration &agr; of a vehicle is estimated. If the acceleration is larger than a predetermined value, a target pressure P is increased, thus generating a relatively large braking force.
Abstract:
When it is detected that a wheel speed vFL of at least one specific wheel WFL is nearly equal to zero but wheel speeds vFR, vRL, vRR of the other wheels WFR, WRL, WRR are not nearly equal to zero, the apparatus judges that the wheel speed vFL of the specific wheel WFL is abnormal, but cancels the abnormality judgment in a stuck state even if the wheel speed vFL of the specific wheel WFL was judged as being abnormal.
Abstract:
Provided is rotational-state-of-wheel detecting apparatus that can avoid output of an incorrect rotational direction during a halt of a wheel. In ECU 10, a signal input section 10a accurately detects wheel speeds and rotational directions of respective wheels 12, 14, 16, 18, and, based on the results, respective computers 10b, 10c, 10d execute ABS control, TC control, and VSC control. On this occasion, switching of the rotational direction is restricted with a computation result of wheel speed of zero, and it is thus feasible to prevent occurrence of a malfunction or state hunting being repetitive switching of signs, due to an external magnetic field during halts of the wheels 12, 14, 16, 18. This further optimizes the state control of a vehicle.
Abstract:
Provided is a braking force control apparatus for vehicles capable of performing appropriate vehicle braking even in a road-contactless state of a wheel. The braking force control apparatus is adapted to a four-wheel drive vehicle having a center differential for distributing and transmitting driving force to the front wheels and rear wheels and a braking system capable of exerting braking force on each of the front and rear wheels, based on voluntary switching between braking according to driver's brake-pedal actuation and forced braking independent of the brake-pedal actuation. It is determined whether the vehicle is in an engine brake state and it is then determined whether at least one of the wheels is in the road-contactless state. When an engine brake determining device determines that the vehicle is in the engine brake state and when a road-contactless state determining device determines that at least one of the wheels is in the road-contactless state, the braking force based on the forced braking is exerted on the wheels other than the at least one wheel while the braking force based on the driver's brake-pedal actuation is permitted to be exerted on the at least one wheel.
Abstract:
A vehicle hydraulic brake apparatus includes a linear solenoid valve unit for controlling a power hydraulic pressure supplied to a master cylinder from an auxiliary hydraulic pressure source. Master cylinder hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder detected by a pressure sensor is compared with a predetermined reference hydraulic pressure when the linear solenoid valve unit is electrically excited under a condition that the communication between the master cylinder and the wheel cylinders is interrupted by a hydraulic pressure control valve device disposed between the master cylinder and the wheel brake cylinders while the vehicle engine is activated and a brake operating member is not operated. The electric current supplied to the linear solenoid valve unit is corrected in response to a result of this comparison.
Abstract:
A target vehicle speed is switched between a target slip vehicle speed and a target torque vehicle speed on the basis of a result of a determination regarding whether or not a vehicle is insufficiently accelerated. More specifically, if traction control is not performed, the target slip vehicle speed is set as the target vehicle speed. If it is determined that the vehicle is sufficiently accelerated during traction control, a value obtained by subtracting a maximum permissible value from a value set last time as the target vehicle speed is compared with the target slip vehicle speed, and the larger one of them is set as the target vehicle speed this time. If it is determined that the vehicle is insufficiently accelerated during traction control, the larger one of the target slip vehicle speed and the target torque vehicle speed is compared with a value obtained by adding a maximum permissible value to a value set last time as the target vehicle speed, and the smaller one of them is set as the target vehicle speed this time.
