    摘要: An embodiment of the present invention allows for the production, with a high productivity, of a water-absorbent resin having an improved relationship between absorption capacity and water-soluble polymer, which are conflicting properties of the water-absorbent resin, being easily controlled for polymerization reaction, being of no odor, being less colored, and being of high absorption properties (high absorption capacity under load and high PPUP). In one embodiment of the present invention, a process for producing a water-absorbent resin by polymerizing an acrylic acid composition including acrylic acid and/or its salt, the process includes: (a) the step of carrying out radical polymerization of the acrylic acid composition to form a hydrogel crosslinked polymer; and (b) the step of drying the hydrogel crosslinked polymer by application of heat, the acrylic acid composition having an unpolymerizable organic compound content of 1 to 1000 ppm by weight, wherein the unpolymerizable organic compound has a solubility parameter of (1.0 to 2.5)×104(Jm−3)1/2.

    摘要: A method of producing a water-absorbent resin of the present invention reduces amounts of a residual cross-linking agent and a residual surfactant, achieves high productivity, and improves physical properties of the resultant water-absorbent, such as absorption capacity, extractable polymer content, powder friction, and gel crushability. The method includes the steps of: polymerizing an aqueous monomer solution containing as a major component an acrylic acid monomer in the presence of a cross-linking agent; and drying the resultant polymer by heating, in which the cross-linking agent is a multifunctional (meth)acrylate cross-linking agent having polyethylene glycol structural units including a total of 6 to 200 ethylene oxide repeating units, and the aqueous monomer solution includes a mono(meth)acrylate compound having polyethylene glycol structural units in an amount of 0.1 to 30% by weight relative to an amount of the multifunctional (meth)acrylate cross-linking agent.

    摘要: The invention provides a hydrophilic resin and an absorbent article, both of which display still less coloring and discoloring when preserved for a long time. The hydrophilic resin is any one of: 1) a hydrophilic resin, obtained by a process including the step of polymerizing a monomer component including a major proportion of either one or both of acrylic acid and its salt which merely have a content of at most 0.20 ppm in total of hydroquinone and benzoquinone; 2) a hydrophilic resin, comprising a major proportion of an acrylic polymer and a minor proportion of either one or both of hydroquinone and benzoquinone, with the hydrophilic resin further comprising a quinhydronation inhibitor of 10˜1,000,000 times the total weight of hydroquinone and benzoquinone; 3) a hydrophilic resin, comprising a major proportion of an acrylic polymer and merely having a coloring degree (YI) of at most 20 after being left under conditions of the open system, 70° C., 65% RH for 1 week; and 4) a hydrophilic resin, which is a water-absorbent resin and is surface-crosslinked or surface-impregnated with a polyhydric alcohol and displays pH of 5.5 or less in a physiological salt solution and has an absorption capacity of 20 g/g or more for a physiological salt solution under a load of 50 g/cm2. In addition, the absorbent article comprises the above hydrophilic resin.

    摘要: A hydrogel polymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer component including acrylic acid (salt) is post-neutralized so that each of polymer particles derived from a polymer produced by neutralizing the hydrogel polymer has an allowable neutralization ratio. The polymer as obtained by neutralizing the hydrogel polymer is reacted with a crosslinking agent reactive to a functional group of the polymer. The allowable neutralization ratio, for example, is a neutralization ratio which is not lower, by not less than 20 mole percent, or more than, at least 55 mole percent, than an average neutralization ratio of a mass of the polymer particles, and the post-neutralization is carried out so that a number of polymer particles having a non-allowable neutralization ratio outside the allowable neutralization range is not more than 10 in 200 polymer particles, thus obtaining a water-absorbent agent having high absorbency under no applied pressure and high pressure wherein the amount of water soluble component is lower compared with the conventional water-absorbent agent and a change in pH of a swollen gel is small.

    摘要: Provided is a method for producing a polyacrylic acid (salt)-based water absorbent resin, which is a convenient production method for a water absorbent resin for an absorbent suitable for practical use, the water absorbent resin having a reduced amount of residual monomers. Disclosed is a method for producing a polyacrylic acid (salt)-based water absorbent resin, the method comprising a polymerization step of polymerizing an aqueous monomer solution containing acrylic acid (salt) as a main component; a drying step of drying a water-containing gel-like crosslinked polymer obtained in the polymerization step; a surface crosslinking step of surface crosslinking the water absorbent resin under drying or the water absorbent resin which has been dried; and a packaging step of packaging the surface crosslinked water absorbent resin, wherein an iron content in the aqueous monomer solution in the polymerization step is 2 ppm (relative to the monomer(s)) or less, a moisture content of the water absorbent resin in the packaging step is 1% by weight or more, and the method further comprises, after the packaging step, a storage step of storing the packaged water absorbent resin for 3 days or longer.
