Abstract:
An absorbent article having, as a back sheet, a porous sheet obtainable by preparing, by melt blending, a melt blended solution comprising 30 to 90 parts by weight of a crystalline polyolefin and 10 to 70 parts by weight of a compound with which the crystalline polyolefin is miscible and in which the crystalline polyolefin will dissolve at or above the melting point of the crystalline polyolefin but which will phase separate below the melting point of the crystalline polyolefin, molding the blended solution into a sheet, and stretching the sheet in at least one direction. The crystalline polyolefin is a polypropylene having a weight average molecular weight (Mw) to number average molecular weight (Mn) ratio (Mw/Mn) of no more than 6.0.
Abstract:
A speaking apparatus having a handfree conversation function, provided with an echo canceler which can cancel the echo caused by direct acoustic coupling between a speaker and a microphone positioned in a system having a casing, a ground surface and a speech switching circuit. In the apparatus, the amount of insertion attenuation of the transmitted and received signal is set with an upper limit of the amount of attenuation sufficient for cancelling the echo caused by the indirect acoustic coupling determined by the location where the speaking apparatus is used. In addition, the echo canceler and the speech switching circuit share optimum functions to obtain an excellent speaking quality apparatus with an inexpensive and small sized processing circuit.
Abstract:
A magnetic head positioning mechanism includes at least one rotatable magnetic disk medium, a magnetic head, and a carriage. A magnetic signal is recorded in the rotatable magnetic disk medium. The magnetic head is moved on the magnetic disk medium to record/reproduce the magnetic signal. The carriage movably holds the magnetic head and has an insulating surface on which an electric wiring line for connecting the magnetic head to a control board is formed.
Abstract:
A speech coding system is provided where input speech is coded by finding via an evaluation computation a code vector giving a minimum error between reproduced signals obtained by linear prediction analysis filter processing, simulating speech path characteristics, on code vectors successively read out from a noise codebook storing a plurality of noise trains as code vectors and an input speech signal and by using a code specifying the code vector. In the speech coding system, the noise codebook includes a delta vector codebook which stores an initial vector and a plurality of delta vectors having difference vectors between adjoining code vectors. In addition, provision is made in the computing unit for the evaluation computation of a cyclic adding unit for cumulatively adding the delta vectors to virtually reproduce the code vectors.
Abstract:
A tampon has an absorbent material and an accommodation barrel for accommodating the absorbent material therein. The accommodation barrel includes an absorbent material accommodating portion for accommodating therein the absorbent material and a clamping portion continuously connected with the absorbent material accommodating portion and has a flexible property. The clamping portion is formed as a large diameter portion which is provided with a ring on an outer circumferential edge thereof.
Abstract:
A color recording apparatus has an electric charge carrier which is circulatingly movable, an electrostatic latent image forming unit for forming a latent image which corresponds to an original image on the carrier, a development unit for developing the latent image; a transfer unit for transferring the developed image formed on the carrier to a record paper in a transfer process, a conveyor for conveying the record paper forward and backward with respect to the transfer unit, and a control unit which repeats control operations for controlling the latent image forming unit to form a latent image on the carrier, for controlling the development unit to develop the latent image, for controlling the conveyor to convey the record paper forward, for controlling the transfer unit to transfer the developed image to the record paper, and for controlling the conveyor to convey the record paper backward at least for one time. The control unit controls the conveyor prior to the transfer process so that the record paper is positioned at a point which is a predetermined distance before a transfer point and that a forward movement of the record paper is started on the basis of an information signal which is output in response to a state of starting an electrostatic latent image forming operation each time the transfer process is carried out.
Abstract:
A rotary multicolor developing apparatus having a plurality of developing chambers defined in a rotatable developing drum, which neighbors and faces a photoconductive drum, and developing units each being disposed in a respective one of the developing chambers to supply toner of a particular color; the developing units being sequentially transported in a rotational motion to a predetermined developing region so that the toner is transferred from each developing unit to an electrostatic latent image provided on the photoconductive drum, thereby developing the latent image. In each developing unit, there are provided a magnetic brush which is sequentially transported between a toner supply region, the developing region, and a toner recovery region, a toner supply roller for transporting toner which is charged in the toner supply region to the magnetic brush, and a toner recovery roller for collecting in the toner recovery region the toner which remains on the magnetic brush after development. A toner supply drum adapted for the supply of a supplementary amount of toner is provided coaxially with the developing drum. The interior of the toner supply drum is partitioned into a plurality of toner chambers each corresponding to a respective one of the developing chambers of the developing drum, toner conveyors connecting each of the toner chambers to its associated developing chamber.
Abstract:
Provided are corrosive environment monitoring systems and methods whereby corrosive factors are measured in a steam turbine and a corrosive environment is correctly monitored. A corrosive environment monitoring system measures corrosive factors having a part in damaging and deteriorating structural members in a steam turbine and is configured in such a way that steam in the steam turbine is permitted to flow into the corrosive environment monitoring system. Furthermore, in the steam turbine, a condensing mechanism condenses steam that has flowed in and a corrosive factor measuring device is equipped with corrosive factor sensors that measure corrosive factors in condensed water generated by the condensing mechanism.
Abstract:
Driving of a pulse motor is controlled in such a manner that a rotating body driven by the pulse motor rotates at a uniform angular velocity. Angular displacement of the rotating body is detected, a difference between a detection value of the angular displacement and a target value of angular displacement set in advance is calculated, and a drive pulse frequency of a drive pulse signal to be used for driving the pulse motor is calculated based on the difference and a reference drive pulse frequency. Whether the difference is added to the reference drive pulse can be selected.
