The disclosed design may reduce the impact cooling fluid leaks may have on the computing environment and other rack based systems. The disclosed methods and systems may include structures for containing cooling fluid leaks and detecting cooling fluid leaks. The structures may be movable between positions in which connectors for forming fluid connections are exposed and positions in which the connectors are contained. Containing and detecting cooling fluid leaks may allow for proactive action prior to significant damage to the computing environment.

摘要: A cooling device for cooling a chip, a server with such a cooling device, and a rack are disclosed. The cooling device comprises a cooling layer that is divided into multiple cooling regions; and an internal region that includes a vapor separation core. Two-phase coolant that enters a first cooling region of the cooling layer is converted to mixed fluid due to heat extracted from a corresponding region of the chip. The mixed fluid is elevated to the vapor separate core, which separates vapor from liquid in the mixed fluid. The vapor exits the cooling device while the liquid is transported to a second cooling region in the cooling layer. The cooling device can be used with a condenser in a server to form an internal server loop, and can be connected to a rack to form a main fluid loop. The two coolant recirculation loops are used together to maintain a predetermined liquid balance in the cooling device.

摘要: A cooling unit includes a channel frame assembled to a server chassis to form a region enclosing an electronic chip that is disposed on a server board contained within the server chassis, an inlet port coupled to a first side of the channel frame to receive a coolant fluid, an outlet port coupled to a second side of the channel frame for coolant fluid in either a liquid phase or a vapor phase to exit the channel frame, and an internal structure disposed on an inner surface of the channel frame between the inlet port and the outlet port. The internal structure guides the coolant fluid flow and/or distribution along a surface of the electronic chip, where the electronic chip transfers heat to the coolant fluid to cause a portion of the coolant fluid to change from a liquid to a vapor phase.

摘要: An electronic rack includes an array of server blades arranged in a stack. Each server blade contains one or more servers and each server includes one or more processors to provide data processing services. The electronic rack includes a coolant distribution unit (CDU) and a rack management unit (RMU). The CDU supplies cooling liquid to the processors and receives the cooling liquid carrying heat from the processors. The CDU includes a liquid pump to pump the cooling liquid. The RMU is configured to manage the operations of the components within the electronic rack such as CDU, etc. The RMU includes control logic to determine an optimal pump speed to minimize the total power consumption of the pump, acceleration servers and the host servers, based on the one or more parameters and the association between temperature and power consumption of the acceleration servers and the host servers. The RMU then controls the liquid pump based on the optimal pump speed.

摘要: Described herein are systems and methods for object detection to achieve hard real-time performance with low latency. Real-time object detection frameworks are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, a framework comprises a first CPU core, a second CPU core, and a plurality of shaves. In one or more embodiments, the first CPU core handles general CPU tasks, while the second CPU core handles the image frames from a camera sensor and computation task scheduling. In one or more embodiments, the scheduled computation tasks are implemented by the plurality of shaves using at least one object-detection model to detect an object in an image frame. In one or more embodiments, computation results from the object-detection model with a higher detection probability is used to form an output for object detection. In one or more embodiments, the object-detection models share some parameters for smaller size and higher implementing speed.

摘要: Neural Architecture Search (NAS) is a laborious process. Prior work on automated NAS targets mainly on improving accuracy but lacked consideration of computational resource use. Presented herein are embodiments of a Resource-Efficient Neural Architect (RENA), an efficient resource-constrained NAS using reinforcement learning with network embedding. RENA embodiments use a policy network to process the network embeddings to generate new configurations. Example demonstrates of RENA embodiments on image recognition and keyword spotting (KWS) problems are also presented herein. RENA embodiments can find novel architectures that achieve high performance even with tight resource constraints. For the CIFAR10 dataset, the tested embodiment achieved 2.95% test error when compute intensity is greater than 100 FLOPs/byte, and 3.87% test error when model size was less than 3M parameters. For the Google Speech Commands Dataset, the tested RENA embodiment achieved the state-of-the-art accuracy without resource constraints, and it outperformed the optimized architectures with tight resource constraints.

摘要: A cooling unit for a data center comprises a fan section, a set of airstream diversion sections, and a set of cooling sections. The fan section is disposed at a front end of the unit. The set of airstream diversion sections includes one or more main airstream diversion channels and a rear airstream diversion channel. The airstream diversion section is configured to direct airflow from the fan section to the set of cooling sections. The set of cooling sections includes a main cooling section disposed at a side of the unit and a rear cooling section disposed at a rear end of the unit. Cooling modules may be arranged in series within each cooling section and among multiple cooling sections to manage a cooling fluid distribution corresponding to hot air inlets, to achieve more uniform temperature and better thermal management.

摘要: A cooling system includes a container and a number of battery packaging modules submerged in a first coolant fluid contained in the container. The cooling system includes a supply channel and a return channel coupled respectively to at least a supply end and at least a return end of the battery packaging modules to accelerate a second coolant fluid through any of the battery packaging modules. The cooling system includes one or more pairs of fluid valves secured to the supply and return channels, each pair to control the second coolant fluid flowing through a subset of the plurality of battery packaging modules. The cooling system includes a fluid pump disposed at the channels to accelerate the second coolant fluid supplied to any of the battery packaging modules which are in activated modes.
