    Abstract: Technology provides for controlling a high-energy management system for an aircraft that includes receiving sensor data from a plurality of high-energy (HE) systems, wherein each of the plurality of HE systems is located in an aircraft, determining a present state of each of the plurality of HE systems based on the sensor data, determining a target state of each of the plurality of HE systems based on the present state of each of the plurality of HE systems and a set of HE system rules, and automatically generating one or more control actions to effect control of one or more of the plurality of HE systems based on the target state of each of the plurality of HE systems. Examples further include receiving a schedule of tasks to be performed on the aircraft, where determining the target state is further based on the schedule of tasks.

    Abstract: A power controller for a data storage system automatically selects different power modes based on changing forecasts of availability of renewable energy. The power modes indicate settings for each of a plurality of hardware resources, such as processors, fans, memory, and drives. At times when the storage system can operate at less than the maximum level of performance in terms of IO latency or IOPS, power consumption of one or more of the hardware resources is reduced to a degree corresponding to availability of renewable energy. For example, the hardware resources may be operated in a relatively higher power mode when renewable energy is available than when renewable energy is unavailable. The storage system may be configured to automatically implement a low power mode when power from all sources is in limited supply, e.g., during a brownout.

    Abstract: An image recognition device capable of reducing power, a calculation amount, a memory occupancy amount, and a bus band occupancy amount and maintaining high recognition accuracy is provided. An image recognition device includes a plurality of signal processing modules that connects a plurality of image sensors having different functions, performs signal processing on the basis of image signals output from connected image sensors and including an object within an imaging visual field, and is each capable of being controlled for power source supply, a recognition processing unit that selectively performs recognition processing of the object by an output signal of one signal processing module and recognition processing of the object with fusion of corresponding output signals of the plurality of signal processing modules, and a control unit that supplies a power source to at least one signal processing module, causes the recognition processing unit to perform recognition processing of the object without fusion, determines reliability of a recognition processing result, and performs power source supply control of another signal processing module on the basis of a determination result.

    Abstract: Embodiments disclose a DEVS chip is used to send only meaningful data in the system and therefore saves energy and increase processing speed. The sensor nodes communicate with an office chip temperature sensor or power management. The data acquired by the senor nodes is used for evaluating of the quantizer which has a stored quantum size and a stored temperature value or power level. If the difference between a stored temperature or a stored power level and a new temperature or a new stored power level is greater or equal to the predetermined quantum size, the new temperature or new power level is saved. The quantizer generates an event that transmits the temperature or the power level with quantum value to the sensor nodes. The small changes in the difference does not affect the system beyond the quantizer.
