摘要: A battery monitoring device monitors a lithium precipitation amount in a lithium ion battery. The battery monitoring device includes a precipitation amount detection unit that has a short circuit for discharging the lithium ion battery by temporarily shorting both ends of the lithium ion battery. The lithium precipitation amount detection unit calculates an estimation value of the lithium precipitation amount based on a change in at least one of current or voltage when both the ends of the lithium ion battery is shorted by the short circuit. The battery monitoring device includes a temperature sensor that detects a battery temperature of the lithium ion battery.

摘要: A heat management system has: a first flow passage, a second flow passage, a third flow passage, and a fourth flow passage; an electrical storage device configured to perform heat exchange with a heat medium in the first flow passage; a driving device configured to perform heat exchange with a heat medium in the second flow passage; a radiator provided in the third flow passage; a chiller device provided in the fourth flow passage; and a switching device. When a temperature of the electrical storage device is raised, the switching device is configured to cause a temperature raising circuit to be formed, the temperature raising circuit being a flow passage circuit in which a connection flow passage connecting the first flow passage, the second flow passage, and the third flow passage to one another is provided, with the fourth flow passage being independent of the connection flow passage.

摘要: A molded housing of a conformal wearable battery (CWB) encloses an electronic component and include an electrically conductive contact component embedded within an exterior wall to conduct electricity between an interior and an exterior of the casing. A flexible printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) for a conformal wearable battery (CWB) is enclosed in a cavity within the molded housing and includes attachment sections for a plurality of battery cells that are arranged in a grid-like pattern on a same side of the flexible PCBA. A visco-elastic shock-absorbing member installed between the upper and lower portion of the flexible PCBA when configured in a folded configuration. Each battery cell is joined to the flexible PCBA via a welding process. Each battery cell has a visco-elastic shock-absorbing member attached individually to each battery cell of the plurality of battery cells. When folded to fit within the cavity of the molded housing, the flexible PCBA forms a three-dimensional grid of physical components comprising at least the battery cell modules.

摘要: Techniques are provided for operating a computing system in a peak power mode while avoiding increased degradation of a battery. The peak power mode include cycles with peak and off-peak currents. The amplitude and duration of the peak and off-peak currents are governed by a thermal/heat budget of the battery. A processor can read the battery information during usage and calculate one or more parameters which are derived from heat. If a parameter is smaller than a reference value, the processor can update the peak power parameters to provide an increase in peak current/power and/or duration. If a parameter is larger than the reference value, no heat budget is available to provide an increase in peak current/power and/or duration. The thermal/heat budget can be enforced over each cycle of the peak power mode or in a summation over multiple cycles.

摘要: Method and systems for determining when to cancel coolant stop. An initial coolant temperature value is measured. The initial coolant temperature value is used to create Multiple Control Valve (MCV) opening thresholds. A first threshold is generated for MCV opening threshold for engine speed. A second threshold is generated for MCV opening for intake air mass flow. A comparison is made between the first threshold and the currently measured engine speed and/or a comparison is made between the second threshold and the currently measured intake air mass flow. The comparison(s) are then used to determine when to cancel coolant stop and open the MCV.

摘要: The boost converter control device includes a plurality of boost converters connected in parallel to each other with respect to the secondary batteries, and an ECU (control unit) that controls each of the plurality of boost converters. When warm-up of the secondary battery is required, ECU performs a first control for adjusting the phases of the plurality of boost converters to be in phase with each other in response to the current value flowing through the secondary battery becoming larger than a predetermined threshold, and performs a second control for stopping the operation of a part of the plurality of boost converters in response to the current value flowing through the secondary battery becoming equal to or smaller than the predetermined threshold.

摘要: Systems and methods for providing cooling and fire suppression for battery modules of an aircraft. One embodiment described herein provides an aircraft including a plurality of battery modules and a battery thermal management system. Each battery of the plurality of battery modules includes a housing. The battery thermal management system includes a storage vessel containing a cooling propellant, a conduit fluidly coupling the storage vessel to an interior of the housing of each of the plurality of battery modules, a vessel valve controlling a flow rate of the cooling propellant from the storage vessel to the conduit, and a venting system. The venting system includes one or more nozzles extending to an exterior of the aircraft and in fluid communication with the interior of the housing of each of the plurality of battery modules. The one or more nozzles direct the cooling propellant to the exterior of the aircraft.
