摘要： An acceleration and deceleration sensing and indicating system is provided to indicate changes in speed of a boat and the like vessel. Acceleration and deceleration of the boat are sensed and monitored by a hull-mounted electrical transducer and associated electronic processing circuitry. Electronic circuitry processes the signal generated by the transducer and operates the respective indicator light and/or lights to display a position (+) indication for acceleration and a negative (-) indication for deceleration. Means are also provided in the electronic circuitry to insure that sudden large changes in speed will not cause the indicator light and/or lights to be energized for undesirably long periods of time and therefore mask subsequent small changes in speed. Thus, in one particular application of this system, a sailboat helmsman is able to evaluate the effect of small changes in the trim of the ship''s gear.

摘要： A device for restraining movement of a pivoted or hinged closure member in closed position relative to a second member at the distal edge thereof, such as an adjacent second door and/or a door frame. The restraining device is especially useful on double doors of truck trailers and cargo containers and complements the usual door latches in preventing frame racking and opening of the door in response to an internally applied force due, for example, to a load shift. The device comprises two interengageable members, one fixedly connected to a hinged closure member adjacent to the distal edge thereof and the other on an adjacent second member. Opening of the closure member is prevented by the device when both the hinged closure member and the second member, such as the second door, are moved or when forces strain the hinged closure member to cause the interengaged members to bind. Movement in the plane of the door (so-called ''''racking'''') is inhibited through a rigidifying effect from the interengagement of the members of the restraining device.

摘要： A combined log and speedometer having a digital readout is provided wherein an electronic speed sensor actuates a voltage controlled oscillator so that the frequency of the oscillator is proportional to speed. The output pulses are counted and accumulated to give an indication of the distance traveled and simultaneously the output pulses are sampled for precise periods of time to give an indication of speed. Both speed and distance are displayed digitally.

摘要： A fail-safe photoelectric control system for disconnecting a load whenever an object is sensed by one of two or more photocells. A transistorized gating circuit is connected to the photocells and to a square-wave output signal of a signal generator. Under normal conditions, the gating circuit passes the signal which is then amplified and rectified before energizing a relay which connects the load. When an object is in the light path of either photocell, or if any active component in the system fails, the signal is blocked whereupon the relay is deenergized and the load disconnected.

摘要： Door-fastening apparatus, particularly well suited for fastening in closed position the rear doors of truck bodies, comprises a shaft and its actuating means mounted on the door, a keeper lock member mounted on the door frame, and a latch lock member, actuatable by rotation of the shaft, mounted on the door. The keeper member has two spaced projecting members of which one has a stem portion and a transverse portion, and the other of which has a free end portion. The latch member has two forks one of which engages beneath the transverse portion of the first projecting member in straddling relation and the other of which straddles the second projecting portion. The door also carries a member having an extension portion that overlaps the door frame to prevent inward movement of the door. This member preferably extends around the keeper member and is engaged by the forked portion of the latch member when the latch member is in locking engagement.
