Abstract:
A device for injecting a fixing agent for anchoring a fastening element in a drilled hole comprises a vessel which includes a housing, which contains one component of the fixing agent and can be sealed, an injection nozzle and a plunger. The plunger is movable into the vessel housing. An injection nozzle is arranged on the plunger. The overall length of the plunger and the injection nozzle matches the height of the interior of the vessel housing. Thus, all of the fixing agent can be injected as a result of pressure applied to the base of the vessel housing.
Abstract:
A rotary workpiece treating apparatus is described particularly useful for depositing coating or adhesive materials within threaded fastener nuts. The device includes a continuously rotating turntable assembly having a plurality of workstation cylinders attached thereto. Installed within the cylinders are plungers having cam followers, which plungers move between a first and second position as the turntable assembly is rotated. A probe attached to the plunger is caused to enter within the internal bore of the nuts and release flowable material within the nut. The flow of such material is controlled by a valve stem protruding from the probe which is depressed against a stop surface when the probe is inserted within the nuts. A second clamping plunger within the cylinder clamps against the nut when the probe is being inserted, thereby positioning the nut and preventing flowable material from being deposited on the exterior surfaces of the nuts. The clamping plunger further acts to prevent discharge of flowable material from the probe when a nut is not positioned at the workstation position.
Abstract:
This invention relates to apparatus for lining or coating the interior of lengths of large diameter, e.g. sixty inch (152.4 cm) pipe by applying fluent material thereto, and more specifically relates to such apparatus wherein a pipe liner vehicle travels through the pipe applying the material as it moves therethrough.
Abstract:
An improved apparatus for clamping and rotating containers which includes a rotatably supported table for supporting and rotating a container about an axis, drive means connected to the table for rotating the table about the axis of rotation, a plurality of jaws movably mounted on the table for alternately engaging and releasing a container to be rotated, jaw-positioning means engageable with the plurality of jaws for moving the jaws into and out of engagement with a container, and actuator means for actuating the jaw-positioning means. A method of applying sealant to the inside of a container at the juncture between the inner surfaces of the bottom closure member and the sidewall thereof is also disclosed.
Abstract:
An atomizing spray nozzle device includes an atomizing zone housing that receives different phases of materials used to form a coating. The atomizing zone housing mixes the different phases of the materials into a two-phase mixture of ceramic-liquid droplets in a carrier gas. The device also includes a plenum housing fluidly coupled with the atomizing housing and extending from the atomizing housing to a delivery end. The plenum housing includes an interior plenum that receives the two-phase mixture of ceramic-liquid droplets in the carrier gas from the atomizing zone housing. The device also includes one or more delivery nozzles fluidly coupled with the plenum chamber. The delivery nozzles provide outlets from which the two-phase mixture of ceramic-liquid droplets in the carrier gas is delivered onto one or more surfaces of a target object as the coating on the target object.
Abstract:
A device (1) for introducing a plugging compound (20) into a borehole (21), the device having a sleeve (2) with a cavity (3) for receiving the plugging compound (20). On one side, the sleeve (2) has a discharge opening (5), corresponding to the cavity (3), for discharging the plugging compound (20), and a support section (7), projecting laterally from the sleeve, for providing a support option for the sleeve (2) during introduction of the plugging compound (20). On the opposite side of the sleeve (2), an upper opening (4) is provided, through which a piston (16) together with a feed plate (18) protrudes into the cavity (3). The piston (16) is movable relative to the sleeve (2) in such a way that the feed plate (18) can be displaced in the cavity (3), for example to allow the plugging compound (20) to be received and dispensed.
Abstract:
A nozzle is configured to discharge a fluid containing a raw material of a catalytic layer to a substrate having first and second end faces and provided with holes each extending from the first end face to the second end face. The nozzle is provided with discharge ports each discharging the fluid toward the first end face of the substrate.
